He is an awesome professor. He gives a homework assignment due every Thursday based on the textbook, and his tests are based on his lectures. Although it is important to take good notes, he gives you the essay questions that will be on the test two weeks beforehand so there is plenty of time to prepare. He gives you everything you need to do well.

Gowaskie is a GREAT professor. I took him for two classes and plan on taking him for more history classes. Theres a hw assignment every week but its not bad just skim the text. there are 3tests with 2 essays and 10 map. Kinda hard but not bad if you pay attention in class. Hes super easy to listen to in class and keeps it interesting. Very helpful

This professor was nice enough, but shared his radical left wing views much too often. He poked fun and religious practices of certain groups like Catholics, even though he claimed to be a Catholic. Perhaps that was how he justified his comments. I was personally offended a few times in his class. He is not very interesting and tests were hard.

Gowaskie is a great professor. History is not many people's fav subject but he makes it interesting. If you take notes in class you will do fine on the exams. He also gives you everything that is going to be on the exam 2 weeks in advance. Theres only a homework assignment once a week. Hes easy to understand and a really funny guy. Highly recommend

Gowaskie is the man, hands down. I don't necessarily like how he grades the test, but I get A's on them anyway, so it's cool. Definitely take Gowaskie if you can. Had him this semester and already registered for his class next semester.

I love this professor. The way the class goes is: show up, lecture, attendance, peace. Fridays homework is due, which take less than an hour. So goofy and funny, and a genuine/ kind human being. He made me love history.

He is really easy. Just go to every class take good notes and do the homework. Also study the essay questions before the exam. Other than that your good he is really nice he reminds me of my grandpa and he can be funny. You should def take him for history to 1500 and since 1500 if possible you won't regret it

When I first saw my schedule had a history class on it I wanted to cry. I am absolutely horrible at history, however after taking his class I truly am interested in what he has to teach. Yes he does lecture all class but he is very intriguing and makes you laugh. He wants you to pass and do good. He's awesome!

Gowaskie lectures for the whole class period, he talks fast, but hes very entertaining, he'll defiantly make you laugh. There are weekly homework assignments, if you miss them you can hand them in before your exam but you wont get full credit, the exams are hard, its all essays and he likes alot of detail.
