I absolutely loved Professor Lew's class. He is the sweetest guy and you can tell he is very passionate about his profession and his students. I was a student athlete and he was more than accommodating with my scheduling stuff and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. I don't know why the other reviews say he is not good he is FANTASTIC!

Adorable little old guy who is super passionate about the subject. Brought my laptop to class everyday and filled my evernote with his seemingly encyclopediac knowledge on the subject. Super helpful. If you need help, ask! He is super approachable. Great guy and great class. Would definitely recommend

Definitely was not the easiest course to take; work-wise it was fine, but grade-wise it was not. Although he does allow revisions, he doesn't give much feedback and when you change it to how he wants it, somehow you end up with lower points. Attendance and taking notes will definitely help with papers and with the final. Books were not necessary.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. He contradicted everything I have learned previously about writing. Gives lower grades on revisions than on original papers even though you fixed exactly what he told you to. Creepy. Makes everything about sex and it is not necessary. By far the most boring class I have taken in my years of education

Super easy class. He's a little scatter-brained, but actually a pretty intelligent guy. A few essays, memorizing some lines of poetry, and a book report and you've got yourself an A. He's also really helpful if you take the time to ask him, which I get the feeling most people don't. He's a chill guy, though. Disorganized, but cool.

This was a lit course, but it was more like a history course. He only discussed the lives of the authors who wrote the books instead of the books themselves. Because of this, I stopped reading the material for this class and still managed to get an A. Also, I can't read a single thing he writes

Very simple - three 1000 word essays + easy final. No reading, just watch movies daily so DON'T skip class! Some great classic comedies :) Allows you to revise essays until satisfied w/ grade. Very fair w/ grading; should get an A as long as you don't slack off w/ the revisions. Whether you get an A is all up to how much effort YOU put in!

Don't recommend taking him. Misses class a lot for health reasons. Seems very intelligent although the class content wasn't very interesting. Can't read his writing at all! Didn't provide feedback on grades till end of semester. Doesn't communicate well with students. Vague assignments. Plays random videos in class not related to course.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! This has been the worst class i have ever taken throughout college, even worse than A&P. From the beginning of this class non of us had any clue what we were supposed to be doing. When he returns the essays to revise, you can not even read what he says, therefore he is no help.

Totally not worth your time. Things we talk about in class aren't even related to english. Sometimes he doesn't even show up to class and final papers were due that day. Any feedback he gives you on papers are illegible and confusing.

The most terrible English professor in my three years of college. He is very unclear about what he wants about papers. Sometimes he doesn't even bother to show up to class but makes a secretary come in and show a movie that has nothing to do with what we are learning. Also his comments on papers are so unclear and written all in chicken scratch.

Kind of creepy and not very helpful. The class was almost completely worthless and no one ever really knows what is going on. He also just cancells class and doesn't tell anyone so you drive all the way there to turn around and go home. The only good part was the final is pretty easy. He also makes British Lit almost unbearabley boring

Brit Lit: The previous comments seem pretty off base or maybe he's just changed. His lecture notes were put up online: very easy to read and review. His hand writing is atrocious but you know what I did? Ask him after class! Yes, we got grades throughout. He is a really smart man. Anyway, if you're confused about something, just ask. Easy final.
