I am happy to say that after this semester, Dr. McCadden will be retiring! Much to my dismay, he didn't retire before I had the displeasure of taking his class. I take solace in the fact that he will no longer ruin people's love for literature like he did for me.

Terrible teacher. Lectures are unintelligent rambles. Not the smartest tool in the shed. Unfair grader. DO NOT TRUST HIM WITH YOUR GRADE! He gives no clear directions. Has no idea how to explain what he is looking for in papers. Talks to himself. Strange guy. Friendly, but completely stubborn. An awful tenured professor that will never be fired.

I took his Lit207 and it was terrible. He would assign reading for us and then in class we would just re-read the hw. It was such a waste of time. If you are in his class just repeat exactly what he says in the essays and you should be able to get a B. Someone else should teach his course, especially the courses for English majors.

this man is a terrible teacher. i was in his class for a month and i could not stand it any longer so i dropped. he tends to ramble on about things that have nothing to to with the subject and he doesnt allow people to ask questions until he is done which by that time he is no longer on the subject you had a question for in the first place.

I always had my old English teacher correct my papers before I turned them in. However an A or B paper to their eyes meant nothing, and I ended up getting a C or D on it. He always talks to himself in the middle of class which is highly pecuiliar. I would not recommend him for anything but his resignation!

I was an honors english student all through high school, but you would never know it by the grades he gives. He talks to himself, and is a complete jerk when u ask questions. He is very bias and doesn't give students the chance to voice opinions, but never fails to ramble about his own. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS! Oh and he talks to himself...WEIRD.

If you dont like coming to class, or being on time and writting then dont take him. He can be nice but doesnt like to be inturupted while speaking and tries to help but doesnt make much sense.
