He took forever to return your lab reports, yet he kept deducting points even though you did not have your old lab reports to see the corrections. He was way too picky for just a lab. He's a GPA hazard! Stay away!

Dr. Mullins is just a really great guy! Organic chemistry is not an easy subject, but he tries his best to make the material easy to digest with funny sayings and anagrams. He loves when people come to his office hours and will stay late to ensure that you understand the material. Take Mullins, put time into studying, and you will pass the class!

Mullins is great. Yes, his jokes are corny, but that's a part of his charm. He does his best to break down the material into manageable sections, and tries to help you memorize things. It's orgo so yeah, it's hard, but I genuinely like him, and who doesn't like CPOD's?! I walk out of class in a better mood (and its a chemistry class!).

He's too smart to be teaching Orgo. His lectures are all over the place so you can never follow what is going on and he expects students to already know what he is talking about I have put so much effort into this class with no payoff because the exams are not fair ever. His jokes don't make up for his terrible teaching, sorry.

Organic Chemistry is by far my favorite class at Le Moyne. Yes it is a tough course, but if you care and study a lot you will do well. Mullins is the better professor out of the two organic chemistry professors and I would 100% take this professor and class again. His jokes and cute pet pictures of the day will always make your day! Like they say, Orgo is a tough class. Dr. Mullins is clearly knowledgable about the subject and his lectures, although sometimes a little all over the place, are helpful in prepping for the test. I have found that rewriting notes between classes is helpful for retaining the material. Love his dry sense of humor, it keeps lectures moving along.

Organic Chemistry is a hard class, especially for those who do not study. Granted Dr. Mullins does not always present the material clearly in class so reading the book and taking good notes really helps. Overall he is a fair professor.

Organic is a really tough class, and he doesnt really make it any easier. Test questions are often on things barely covered in class, while what we do cover is hardly on the test. If you read the book multiple times and go to his office you should be fine, but the course is more demanding than it needs to be

Mullins is a great professor, full of terrible jokes. He will do anything to help out his students. Exams are very fair, and dare I say--easy. Lectures are interesting, and all material needed is right in the textbook. There is no guessing at what will be on the exams; they are very straight forward. Orgo can be hard, but Mullins makes it easy!

Ok professor. Nice guy with good sense of humor. Class seemed to go by fast. Doesn't explain things well- just seems to write mechanisms on the board without really going over them. I thought the tests were difficult but fair. Final seemed a bit extreme and focused heavily of certain topics- not an even distribution of course material.

He is a great guy and willing to help you anytime. I think his presentation fo the material can be confusing at times. He lectures alot and talks to the board. But if you go to his office and ask questions he is always willing to answer them until you understand them.

Mullins is a character, full of bad jokes but gotta give him credit for trying. He's pretty laid back. This is a hard class and requires alot of work. but he makes himself very available and provides workshops once a week run by upperclassmen that are VERY helpful. Overall he's a tough grader and his test are hard but he is also a very good teacher

This rating also applies to sophomore organic, as well as this note for advanced organic. Dr Mullins is extremely helpful, and keeps the class interesting with jokes and anecdotes in between all the material. Put work into both classes to do well: it's all concept and no math, so students tend to have a harder time.

worst tests i have ever seen in my life. answers are convuluted, VERY easy to get tripped up, mc are always diffcult/tricky on purpose and the short answer always has at least 2/4 hard problems to work out

Make no doubt about it, organic chemistry requires a lot of work. However, Mullins is very fair and his tests are too. You'll do yourself a favor by doing the problems in the book and being prepared for class, and don't fall behind. If you put in 15-20 hours/week you can expect to do very well.

Dr. Mullins (aka Andy Dufresne) is an awesome guy. He's very helpful and his exams are very fair. The subject matter is one that requires pure memorization, but he does his best at helping you out with it.
