I heard Dr. Nika no longer taught at UD, but I thought I would comment anyway. Loved his new teacher enthusiasm, but disliked his PowerPoint lectures because they were verbatim from the book. Has potential to be a good teacher, but needs to loosen up a bit and change teaching format.

Dr. Nika is exactly the kind of prof UD should be trying to retain. He keeps up to date with current research, knows his stuff VERY well, and genuinely is interested in doing his job well. I wasn't a bio major, and I still enjoyed his classes very much. HIGHLY recommended.

Enjoyable, funny in class. Really cares about the student. May seem abrasive at times, but once you get to know him, he will become your favorite prof. If you dont understand something, he will take the time to explain it until you do.

The powerpoints are very helpful. Slightly dry, rushed lecture style, but willing to stop the rush if you have questions. A good guy that teaches helpful courses. Not perfect, but he's trying.
