Father Pilsner is a very kind guy, and he is very understanding. I took his class due to the great reviews. However, his tests are difficult. He gives you a review but it ranges between 14-20 something pages. Not cool when I have 3 other classes to focus on, and I am a nursing major.

I took this professor on a recommendation. I took him for Ethics hoping to learn modern Ethical dilemmas that in today's society we would encounter. However, I was completely mistaken , the majority of the class is based on classical philosophical nonsense his exams were ridiculous and tough in part for unknown rubrics scale only know to him.

Greatly recommend Father Pilsner. He is passionate about the course and is very welcoming to different opinions, and questions throughout the lectures. Very clear and concise in what he expects of his students and overall a caring, passionate, and funny professor. Do the readings, attend class, and study the reviews, and you should get an A.

PIlsner was a great prof, he was clear about what he wanted and a fair grader. Quizzes almost everyday on the assigned reading-midterm was easy if you studied the review well. But his lectures were pretty boring-like make you fall asleep boring- The class was easy if you studied, did the reviews, read the readings, and attended the lectures.

Fr. Pilsner was a great theology teacher. All you had to do was read the readings posted and expect a small 3 question quiz the next day. The two writing assignments weren't hard and he was an easy grader. Really loved his lectures and he was funny.

Dr. Pilsner is THE best philosophy professor I have EVER taken. He is a real gem. His class is structured exactly like his syllabus, so no surprises there. Every time there is a reading due in class expect there to be a short quiz. If you do the readings the night before you should be fine. His midterm is exactly like the review he hands out.

Fr. Pilsner is one of my top 3 favorite professors. Has an incredible wealth of knowledge of phil & theo subjects. Amazing lectures & great at using analogies to explain things. Only complaint is that he gives really long (30 page) reviews a few days before the exams, but he actually answers most of the questions for u on reviews. Highly recommend!

He is understanding and funny. His test are tougher than they appear, really study review. The only flaw I had with this class is the review was given in two large packets on two different days, so there was a shorter time to study the second packet. Follow the directions for the essays & you will pass. Quizzes at the beginning of class. Recommend!

Fr. Pilsner is such a nice man. He's willing to bend and go out of his way for you, as long as you deserve it. Lectures are usually engaging and he loves giving examples. Class shouldn't be an issue as long as you take notes!

Fr. Pilsner is awesome, & he has a great sense of humor! Assignments are easy, graded mostly on grammar & spelling. Tests are a little hard, but if you listen to what he says in class & take notes occasionally, it's easy. It also helped that I'm Catholic & know some theology. 1 midterm, 1 final, weekly quizzes, 2 major assignments

Father Pilsner is wonderful! He explains everything very clearly, and his quizzes and tests are very straight forward. He has the best stories and goes beyond Catholicism to other religions for comparison. His lectures are always interesting, even to a non-Catholic.

took this in fall 1997. helpful man. quizzes were hard, and sometimes over a lot of reading (and only 3 question quizzes!). however, his teaching was great. really made the catechism understandable. had a 10 minute break. the feedback he gave on papers was EXCELLENT! respectable man. i especially liked the times he taught in the chapel.
