Joe really is an excellent professor. He inspired me to think past what I could touch and see. This is the type of professional that gives you great value for your Rollins dollar. Very expensive school. Siry is what you are paying for! It is the education my parents described when they went to Stanford!

Our discussions tended to have nothing to do with our readings. Wants you to participate in discussions but will most likely ignore you if he doesn't like what you say. He's a friendly teacher and will help you a lot, but very off-topic in class. Go to TJ's for your essays and you will get a B or higher at least.

Siry is the man. You could work for BP, thinking that pelicans look better covered in oil, and that we should burn down the planet for cheaper gas - and you will come out of the first lecture a tree-hugging hippie. Cares SO MUCH about his topic. Great discussions. Exactly the reason one goes to college. Top 10 profs. of all time.

He is a great person, an interesting style of teaching though. Very out there and sometimes gets confusing, but fun to listen to. He involves his students a lot, and loves visuals which was helpful when you had no idea of what he was saying.

A bit out there, but pretty funny in the end. He brings out a little more of the history and such because he knows/loves his courses so much, and only a few papers all semester! If people stop coming to class, watch out for a pop-quiz of some sort (basically just writing your name on a sheet of paper!)

Great professor. Yes, he's a little unorganized at times but this adds to his charm. Rarely will you find such enthusiastic instruction by one who genuinely cares so much for his topic. Highly recommended.

A very sincere and likeable person. He's very knowledgeable in several disciplines, which leads to some very interesting, if not off-subject, class discussions. You will learn something in his class, but you may not discover what that is until you are through.

Easy class. only 3 papers all semester, but somehow still a pain - we received over 10 diff. syllabuses over the semester. never knew what the assignments were or when they were due, try to go to his office and ask? then you'll spend 2 hours sitting in there listening to him babble about nothing.
