One of the most respectable and intelligent teachers at Bing. went to wharton/upenn undergrad and upenn law school. extremely smart. very easy A if youre smart and do your work. 87+ for an A plus an optional 10 point paper. One of the best classes i have ever taken. dont take the other professors that are easier because he is much smarter

Go to class and read cases, get B's in tests and get your grade boosted to an A. His lectures are great but not always connected to the test. He'll call each person about twice per semester but it's random so be ready. Take Loy, I'm told Loy leaves the classroom during tests and is open book.

It's so easy. Show up and read the cases as he's talking and patiently wait to be called on the once or twice a semester he chooses to. Exams are basically going to get you in the b range so just do the extra credit and you'll get an easyou A. 100% of the people that did the extra credit properly got an A. Just don't bs it

Most students take this class at another school because this teacher is terrible. Tests are very hard and final is worth 50% of your grade. Plus side: Does not usually take up the whole 3 hours.

Professor Steflik is a smart guy but a poor instructor. I was warned going into this course to take Business Law with Loy, but I did not listen. Biggest mistake. Tests are extremely difficult, and the textbook is incredibly dense and dull. Optional 15pg extra credit paper is necessary in order to do good. Avoid this professor if possible!

He only has 25 minute office hours and shows up 15 minutes late to almost every session. You can try as hard as possible, do all the work, answer all the questions, show up to his office hours... everything. And still leave the class with a C. Take the other professor.

Good teacher but a lot of work. Have to do homework each week. Has involuntary participation that counts as a grade. Exams are pretty hard but straight out of the book. The extra credit paper is a must. I would advise avoid this professor if you want an A because he makes the class pretty hard compared to other prof.

Great Teacher. You will learn A LOT in this class. You must go to class and get the questions right but it is very easy as they are just case over views from the text book. There are no surprises but you must read the text book thoroughly and remember a lot of information. He is a standard law professor and keeps your interest.

Professor Steflik is intelligent and explains concepts very well. However, he is absolutely horrible with grades. I am a straight A student and I received a C in this class. I attended/participated in every class and did well on the tests. Still, he gives out C's even though he says that 85 is a cut off for an A. He doesn't respond to e-mails.

I don't like him at all. he's terrible when it comes to helping students! I can NEVER find him.. not even through email. He takes years before he replies. I think I deserved a higher grade but his tests were so irrational. I should've took it with Loy.

Reading the textbook and attending class is a must. He selects people to discuss the cases that are contained within the reading, which counts towards the participation grade. One midterm, one final, optional extra credit paper. You don't HAVE to do the paper to get an A (I know from experience). Exams are M/C and T/F. Reasonable class.

the difficulty level of the textbook used for this course was much higher than normally used for a freshman/soph level course. however, the test is moderately hard. the extra credit paper is a must do in order to get an A. there is a total of 110 points and 86 is the cutoff for an A. 85 gets you a B. Read the book inside out!!!!

Good teacher. There is a midterm, final, and class participation points, so you definitely need to study for the two tests, but the questions were mult choice and T/F and were fair. Overall good class. Cut off for an A is 86 which is good.

hes the only one teaching 112.. so no choic for you =/ key to success is to DO THE EXTRA CREDIT PAPER@!! no matter how great u did in ur midterm, DO THE DAMN PAPER. and as long as u participate u get full 20 pts(30 midterm, 50 final, 10 extra 87+ is A, 86 is B+, no A-). then u'll have 23 pts to lose and still get an A!!

i agree that the involuntary participation keeps you on your toes. it forced me to work, and as long as you work in the class, you'll do well. he's generous about the grading. the tests aren't hard. but it does require you to at least read the textbook.
