Joe Bill is hands down one of the top professors at CN. You have to study for his class, but you will learn a lot and be a better student for it in the end. Sloan knows his stuff and is passionate about what he's teaching. He does care about his students, too, and will help you if you need it. Just don't be a moron in his class.

Hands down the best professor at C-N. Although he is tough, the knowledge you learn is amazing. Students that rate him low are usually students who do not do their work and are looking for an "easy way out" professor who will let them miss class and not complete homework. Joe Bill is an unbelievable professor and even better person.

The guy is a JERK, if he does not like you then WATCH OUT. He made it very difficult for me in class. If guess the individual that stated "The complainers were afraid of work" must have kissed Joe Bill's rear end because that is the only way to get a decent grade in his class and the class SUCKED.

Creates a great opportunity to learn if you want to. My guess is that all of the complainers are afraid of work. I went to C-N to learn, and Joe Bill allowed me to do this. He was always supportive and led me to critically evaluate material from a variety of perspectives. If you're in college to learn, then Sloan's your man.
