Interesting lectures, comprehensive materials, easy to understand. But inspirational person, no. Grading questionable. Another professor found me crying in the hallway for the low paper grades. He tutored and helped me with my papers throughout the rest of the CRJ710 course, but no luck. I never got a grade better than B even after being tutored.

He is very intellectual when it comes to criminology. Ask him a question, and he will respond with a detailed answer. The class requires a "teamwork" plan where you read the textbook while he reinforces what you read. Overall, take him!

One of the better professors I have had in the graduate program. He asks straight foward, practical and clear questions on assignments. Sort of tough on grading but with some effort you can do okay in his class.

I had to take this class as part of my core requirements, so I had no choice. Freilich should not teach in tandem with Hefferman, Heffernan brings him down. Without Heffernan, Freilich is awesome!!!

Definitely the best professor at JJay: engaging, witty, personable, challenging, brilliant and dynamic. He's got a unique and vibrant character that distinguishes him from the rest of the faculty. Cool, hip guy, too--blends in with the student body :)
