Class is a total joke. Dr. Hauser never shows up prepared and lectures straight from the book. Youd think after decades of teaching he would have figured out how to be a good teacher. Worst professor Ive ever had. It would be degrading to other teachers to call him a teacher.

Dr. Hausers Class, in short, is a complete train wreck. As a teacher, Dr. Hauser cannot give clear instructions and is intolerant to misunderstanding and confusion. He reads straight from the book, and when he isnt doing that he is using decade old PowerPoints that contain incorrect and outdated information. Worst course I have ever taken.

Dr. Hauser is a terrible example of a good teacher. He reads straight from the book. If attendance werent mandatory, class wouldnt be worth going to. The class is called instrumentation, and yet the majority of the class is jazz arranging. No real orchestration or instrumentation techniques are covered and those that are, are mostly wrong.

Dr. Hauser is by far the worst professor I have had at Tennessee tech. He frequently and openly gives out wrong information. He gives way too much busy work and his class is in no way relevant to the world in which 99% of music majors will work in. He is boring to listen to and openly insults students he deems to be wrong, regardless of the truth.

Class is fast paced. If you get behind have fun catching back up. He goes through stuff too fast. Needs to spend more time on stuff before he moves on to something else. Very nice guy though. Always talks to you outside of class. I don't hate the guy at all, just don't like his teaching.

Dr. Hauser is most unprofessional teacher I have ever encountered. Instead of wanting students to succedd, he tried to make them fail. He is unsympathetic to any students(including those with disabilities). His directions on assignments are very unclear
