I don't know how anyone is expected to learn French when the class is conducted mostly in English and we get to speak maybe three sentences a week in the language. This is a very poor style of teaching that is unfortunately very common in high schools and colleges.

french 1...worst teacher ever. everything is awful about her. her teaching, and her. we even had fluent frenchies in the class..and they were like wtf is going on!!

Professor Brunelle taught what she needed to teach. I'm not so sure she likes teaching at the college level, but she's a nice woman (if you're on her good side). If you respect her, she'll respect you. Some people thought she taught too fast, but I was able to keep up, and I got an A in her class. She gives plenty of chances to raise your grade
