Comment:

I generally enjoy Leggat, but it often feels like she is trying too hard to be "cool" and likable. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just leaves me uncomfortable in a dead-silent room when she cracks an awkward joke. Marking is fair, feedback is great, lectures are entertaining. Overall, would recommend... if you can stomach a bad joke or two!

Leggatt is awesome. She's a great teacher regardless of the class structure. A total sci fi nerd who's always down for a geeky convo. If you ever need help he's there for you and she gives the absolute best feedback on assignments. She expects you to work for your marks but that should honestly be expected by now.

Judith wants students to do well, but has extremely high expectations. Non-English majors beware!! My grammar and sentence structure improved immensely throughout the year but my grades suffered. A lot of reading. A lot of work. Important to attend classes to keep up. She's hard, but fair. She tells you exactly what she wants and offers help.

Dr. Leggatt is one amazing person. She bends over backwards to help her students succeed and she really, truly cares about them. Yes, she may be a hard marker - but you are in university, it's to be expected - so suck it up! Her lectures are well organized and they flow very well. Take her classed, you will love her.
