Worst professor I've had at IC. Turns you away when you ask for help . She makes you cry when you have difficulty in her class and try to talk to her about it. I would not recommend this class at all. Her work is a joke until the second half of the semester when she piles everything onto you and gives 0 feedback. She is very mean outside of class.

Professor Pena-Schaff is a wonderful teacher who really knows the material and makes class interesting. The assignments are always fascinating and she has interesting discussions. If you're not interested in doing the work though this is not the class for you. She has very high standards and expects her students to understand the material.

I've never had this much trouble with getting a grade based on the work I put in. No matter how much you study, you will get a lame grade. English is obviously her second language- and she words tests and quizzes very strangely. DONT take a class with her if you value your GPA

Judith knows how to teach and how to assess teaching. Quizzes on line are open book and only worth 5% of grade. Exams are ALL multiple choice and best 3 out of 4 count (including the take home final). She answers emails, asks to explain things to you if you miss a class. She's very pro-active and wants everyone to learn.

Judith is a wonderful professor. Even though this is a large lecture course, she makes the material manageable and interesting. I like that the lowest three quizzes and lowest test score are dropped--you even have the chance to revise case studies after class discussion (and I think that it is low to pick on her accent!)

The material is interesting, but yes I agree you don't really need to show up to class. The test material is basically handed to you before hand. There is a lot of work involved, but if you stay on it you will be fine.
