Judith can be all over the place, and she is great at what she knows. However, she is an extremely empathetic person, and as long as you're being honest with her, she is understanding. If you try to just get out of things, she will catch on. She is challenging to work with, but she is so respected in the theatre community, it is worth every minute

she doesn't like your ideas unless it is within her genre of writing. And it isn't real if it's comedy. She is the worst teacher, there is no support or guidance. It's her way or a failing grade. She is not fit to teach because she doesn't know how to share knowledge or accept others ideas. It's a terrible learning environment.

To be honest, Judith is a bit nuts and can contradict herself at times. For example, one week she told me to completely change the premise of my play and the next week gave another student an idea that was identical to mine. However, she knows what she is talking about and you will come out with a great product in the end.

Judith is not a very nice person. She plays favourites in her classes, and if you're not one of them, you can not do anything right. I think that she teaches so that she has a captive audience to brag about her writing. So she's a Canadian writer - she's not that famous - don't be starstruck. If that's all she's riding on, it isn't much.

JUDITH IS AMAZING. She is first off: BRILLIANT, and totally helpful!! She makes you feel like you can do anything and brings all of her experience to her teaching!Take a class with Judith! Any class! It doesnt even matter what it is, if she's teaching it; take it!

You either hate her or love her. either way an entertaining class. You learn to laugh at yourself and at her quirks...she also has the most experience you will ever find in a prof in canada who is a playwrite. i loved it and am takin a second course, but mostly for the humor of it all.
