You have to read 6 novels. She is really big into reading. She started out the semester with us by giving all essay exams, but she would tell you the essay questions. Later on, we had a lot of baseball players that never showed up or paid attention so she changed it to true/false with tricky loaded questions. she said "I wanted to make it hard"

I love the subject matter and respect that she knows what she's teaching, but she has a hard time reigning in class discussion. Also, she's a bit "holier than thou" in that she thinks that she's better than your average American based solely on her religious studies.
