Comment:
This class was not the hardest class by far, but you have to show up and pay attention. Prof. Foxman is a good professor and the class is enjoyable, but there are very few things that cause your grade to go up or down. So do your best on the tests and you will be fine, but you don't have to overwork on this class.

Super nice lady, but class is harder than you may expect. Do well on the quizzes because they are worth a lot more than you would expect. Tests can be tricky, so make sure to know examples and not just memorize the definitions.

Really cool professor with lots of professional experience so get to know her. The tests are very challenging so make sure to memorize every detail of her PowerPoints and take notes on examples of concepts. MIA quizzes are really easy and interesting. Overall I enjoyed the class but it definitely made me realize that Marketing is not my thing.

Great experience. Print PowerPoints and take additional notes in class and study those to do well. 3 tests and 4 small quizzes. Attendance is mandatory and you have to participate (participation grade starts at a 77.5 and goes up or down). Very nice lady with clear expectations. I recommend her.

Excellent choice for required marketing class. Has put a lot of effort into her lectures and I think her tests are less subjective than in past years. Basic intro class, easy to do well in, a lot of it follows common sense. No projects, homework, or consistent reading required (besides MIA articles). Highly recommend!

Sweet lady who cares about Marketing, but really boring class. Her tests are very tough, even though the material is easy: it is application-driven and more of those "A and B could be right but C is MORE correct" type of tests, where there are not very many points. I recommend taking her if you are a Marketing Major. If not, take an easier prof.

Prof. Foxman is a very sweet lady; however her lectures are very boring. I don't think I've been more bored by a class in Cox. Overall the class is pretty easy. Don't underestimate the tests; though if you study the details well, you should be fine.

Comment:
Foxman knows her own small field in mktg, but her qualifications in academia are nonexistent. Her teaching and tests are poorly constructed, and trying to point out the lack of clarity in her test questions is like arguing with a brick wall. Nice lady, but grossly illogical, and, academically, rather unintelligent. Lectures are painfully bad.

Sweetest lady ever! Very cute and hilarious, and truly cares for her students. Texts are average difficulty, while quizzes are extremely easy. Really applies marketing to the real world. I am a finance major and now extremely interested in marketing because of her. Class very interesting and fun to go to,

100% would NOT recommend her to anyone. I am an A student. These comments do no illustrate the kind of professor she is. Very vague questions on the test, you can never get them right since you never know what she is looking for. Minimal explanation of marketing content. Surely there are other better marketing professors in the business school.

Comment:
Marketing is perhaps the worst class in the business school. The material is, at best, intellectually bankrupt and horribly unfounded in fact, so the blame is not all on the prof. Foxman's presentation is boring, and very little is to be learned from attending lecture. Just make sure to study for the test, they are purposely tricky and deceptive.

She is a great teacher. I am not a business major and this is the most interesting class I took this semester because she is so engaged in the subject material. The tests are a little difficult if you dont study application of the material. Shes excited about the material and she makes you interested and makes you want to come to class. Take her.

Pick her for Intro Mktg for sure. She makes class interesting through her stories and all you need to know is her slides and the terms on the assigned pages of the textbook. She also curved me a couple of points in the end. Great teacher and great class.

Her tests are hard, but the subject is common sense with a fancy vocabulary. She tests as to which answer is the best answer when technically two answers (depending on how you argue) could be right. She gives updated examples, which are easy to understand.

Although her tests are a little on the hard side, she is possibly the best prof I've ever had. Very clear, very helpful, passionate about teaching, and she has tons of real-world experience to share.
