One of the most interesting professors I have had, but the tests are brutal. They are tricky and "grisel choice" are a nightmare.

Very interesting class. Tests are hard and Grisel choice questions are really confusing at first. Yet, the class is totally worth it as you learn so much and she really is enthusiastic about her topic. If you're going to take Biopsych I definitely recommend taking it with her.

AMAZING PROFESSOR!!! I can't wait until I take another class with her. Which I'm hoping I do. My First Year Writing seminar was one of my greatest academic experiences so far. The topics covered were mind blowing. Very helpful professor, a hard greater, but definitely very approachable. So ask for help if you need it.

Dr. Grisel is a amazing professor. On the second day of class (as a freshman) she gave me a spot on her research team for the next summer. Classes are great with little outside homework. She is very passionate about her work and is very helpful. However you must like Neuroethics. If you are not a fan of mind/body debates, consider a different class

Behavioral Neuroscience: Awesome class and teacher. All discussion and reading tons of papers. No tests except for final, which is a take home essay-fest. Basically, a graduate-level class. Super clear, helpful, and enthusiastic. Also, if you want to take Intro to Biopsych TAKE GRISEL, NOT RICE! RICE IS UNCLEAR (but a super cool guy).

Incredibly smart and very personable. Tests aren't bad (multiple choice and essays). Essays are good way to get extra points that you might've lost in multiple choice. Suggestion: print off lecture slides before class & write notes as she lectures-so you dont spend class time copying & rather you can listen and try to understand the material.

Dr. Grisel is definitely a must-take. Class is really interesting, she's incredibly smart and very personable. Tests aren't bad (multiple choice and essays). Essays are a good way to get some extra points that you might have lost in the multiple choices. My suggestion is to print off the lecture slides/notes before class and write side-notes as she

SO ENTHUSIASTIC, she will actually get up on the desk and act like a sodium channel. Really into it. Not easy to get an A, but not impossible. You learn TONS, and she LOVES it when you ask questions. Likes tangents.

This was the most interesting class I've taken at Furman outside of my major, and Dr. Grisel is gorgeous. I enjoyed all the anecdotes and random neuroscience tangents. Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy A... or B... or C...
