Comment:
Don't take a class from Dr. Roobian-Mohr. You could email her to ask her why, but she won't reply. Her grading is inconsistent- often rendering quizzes over the wrong chapters or not showing up to class at all. 50 minutes late to office hours without an apology. AND she offered one class a study guide for the final while the other struggled

Professor Roobian worries about the wrong things. I have decent grammer and speak properly when I need to. Ohio slang should not be thrown out of class. She is always right!!! I hope the final has 50 questions on Hawaii and their slang because half of our class time was spent on that subject. Very condenscending(rude)upon her students. Dont take!

I hear that she is will retire at the end of the school year. If you can avoid taking this class until then, do so. If you have to that this class any sooner, find another prof.

I took this online and can't believe I actually passed! She was MIA, the dean of dept told us she was not answering calls or emails from him!! Didn't have tests in the testing center when they were supposed to be there! HORRIBLE! Everyone I've talked to knows her as the lady from Hawaii b/c that's all she talks about!

this is the worst teacher I have ever had. It's almost as if she thrives on humiliating her students. After aceing our classes first exam she publicly humiliated me because I tend to zone of in her class on occassion. Perhaps I wouldnt so that so often if she stayed on the topic of economics... honestly I don't care about Hawaii.

This teacher was very unprofessional. I went to visit her office and her help was very nice but i felt unconfortable in her office because of how messy and disorganize it was. There was no room for us to sit at her desk. She was very rude telling students to "shut their mouth" She talked about more personal things than econ. she was 15mins late.

I did very well in this class and didn't find it difficult. However, this teacher is not one I would recommend to anyone- contrary to my past experiences at CSCC. She is pseudo-professional, arrogant, rude and pretentious. Less than half of your class-time will be dedicated to the topic of economics.

I missed the first day of class cuz my car wouldn't start. She tried to embarrass me the next class for it. Treats us like we're 12 years old. Told a girl she said "like" too much. Rants about Hawaii. I have no idea what she's talking about half the lectures. There's no econ in them. This quarter is gonna be terrible. Ridiculous.

Don't chew gum. Don't be late. Speak clearly and with proper grammar. Don't expect graded work in a timely fashion, nor responses to your emails. She will be 15 mins late to class and you will have a quiz. I'm sure she is a knowledgeable women, however she is floating around in her own special world - and it's infuriating

It would have been an interesting class if she wasn't teaching it. Its true that she treats people like children making it impossible to try and have a private conversation seeing as how she doesn't lower her voice, putting your business out for everyone to hear. wouldn't recommend her

This teacher is horrible. She's always going off on tangents about Hawaii and her husband. When a paper is due it must be handed in when she walks through the door or it's considered late, even if it's just not stapled. She degrades students and doesn't listen to others opinions. Horrible teacher. If you get her, drop the class immediately.

Terrible.... Just terrible..... I had a professor from Kent State stop in to see her teach and said the same thing. He wanted to know what Hawaii and her husband had anything to do with the course. FYI she slams on students all the time.

I took this class on-line & nothing was posted on Blackboard until a week after it was supposed to start. I tried to contact her for 2 weeks before I contacted the head of the department. He tried to contact her with no luck. Finally got in touch with her 3+ weeks after first attempt. Class was not difficult, but do not recommend this professor.

The thing I remember most about this class is that the woman is from Hawaii. When a student asks a simple question that just requires a "yes" or "no" answer she'll talk for a good 15-20 minutes and still never clearly answer the quiestion. Don't chew gum. Don't say "yeah." And don't say you're "I'm good" since proper english is "I'm well."
