She is really cool! Very clear and helpful. I go to office hours all the time. Goes step by step while teaching. Shows various methods. Tests are easier than the homework. As long as you start your homework on time it shouldn't be hard to get it all done. Allows make up tests and is lenient with turning in assignments! Highly recommend :)

She kind of teaches fast, but if you do all the assigned homework and study you will be fine. You have to do ALL your homework because she does check it, which I think is a good thing. Also, she gives a review before each test that has the exact same layout. Overall, she's a good professor and also really nice.

She's fantastic; she's a better math teacher than you could ask for. Truly knows her stuff, explains everything clearly, is bends-over-backwards helpful if you have questions (during office hours), and what she teaches directly transfers to the tests (the knowledge, not direct problems). MUST TAKE!

Mrs. Ross is hands down the best math teacher i've had at mesa. she made it easy to understand and i agree with the person who said to take her if you have math anxiety. she accepts late work, she will help you during office hours. she doesnt offer much extra credit. DO THE HOMEWORK and you will pass.

I really do not understand how people are grading her so highly. Horrible, horrible, horrible teacher. Does not explain things clearly. I love math, I have gotten A's in every single math class and I do the homework and work hard. Her tests are nothing like the homework and "review". Don't take her for 121.

Mrs. Ross was a great teacher. She is interested if you know the material or not. She will help you on whatever you need. She is willing to help you at office hours or make appointments. You can make up homework, test and group projects. She is fair and nice. Do the work and show up and you'll do just fine.

Ms Ross was a really good teacher she explained things very well and was very helpful and understanding. Very good teacher I am not a giant fan of math but I did enjoy her class. If you ever have a problem of any kind just talk to her, she is very kind and will be more than happy to help you.

Enrolled in her class and the day of class she bailed on us and left us with this ukranian substitute teacher that's the worst teacher ever for the rest of the semester. If you want to tricked and cheated then take her class. You'll end up with a F teacher too.

Always had trouble in math I would've ended up getting an A in this class except for the massive amounts of hw, and I am not kidding when I tell you that you will have MASSIVE AMOUNTS of hw. Overall she is a great teacher, attendance mandatory, will explain anything, never mean to anyone, tests were a maximum of 15-30 questions and were easy.

I had her for both Math 116 and 121. She is a wonderful professor and teaches the material clearly and thoroughly. I found her easy to understand, and she prepares you for every test with a sample test that is very similar to the actual test. Very helpful. Only downside is: tons of homework! Your hand will cramp up with all the work - but take her.

I really liked her. She was very helpful, lots of office hours. She really cares about her students. She not only tells you the formulas she tells you how they came to be and really wants her students to understand math. Just go to class, take the notes, and pay attention. I would recommend her. Makes it easy to understand and interesting.

How to get an A: Attend every class, do every assignment, be engaged in the lectures and practice problems from her study guides and review sessions. If you still struggle after doing all that, she will make time to help you. Class may seem boring, but come on, it's math! Very engaged and caring instructor. Good prep for higher level math.

Very nice, super easy! She shows you examples of every sort of problem you'll encounter on hw and will explain them to you and redo it if you still don't get it. Copy down test reviews- it's all you need to know for the tests with different numbers. And even then she'll offer makeups. Do your hw though!

Really easy teacher. Gives a reviw of the test the class before its given. Take notes and study the example questions she uses because they are the EXACT same on the tests except she uses different numbers. Got A's on all the tests but ended up with a B cause I didnt do half the hw. So do the hw!

The best math teacher I've ever had, hands down. I confess, MATH 121 doesn't make me a math hero, but it's not the easiest course of earth. She will bend over backwards to help you, is precise, and truly understands mathematics (she got her degree before calculators were on the market). The only problem is she doesn't teach MATH 122. AWESOME!

Best math teacher I've had, hands down. Calc 121 doesn't make me a math hero, but isn't easy either. She is precise, will bend over backwards to help you, and she truly understands mathematics (she got her degree in the subject before calculators were on the market). My only problem is she doesn't teach 122. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
