Great online class. So simple and not too many assignments. I learned so much! You need the book but it's cheap to rent. One paper that is actually enjoyable to write since you pick the topic. Discussion posts and questions are due every other week and were very easy to do if you put forth effort. I recommend this class to everyone.

I took this as an online class. Textbook is cheap if rented, clear grading criteria and expectations. Not too much homework, she was always available for questions. This course is an easy A and will actually teach you something! There was 7 discussion posts, all opinion based and some book questions. Final was an easy essay that has clear steps.

I took it over the summer in 4 weeks online. There are 4 modules, 1 for each week that include to read a chapter or two in the text, answer a series of questions and participate in 3-4 discussion boards. Additionally, there is a 3-4 page paper at the end. Class is super straight forward and easy but you do learn alot. Professor was great

Easy class, a bunch of homework assignments but they're all straightforward and easy. Assignments are due every other week. 1 final paper that was easy, just keep on top of everything. Dr. Farnum gets back to you really quickly through Canvas and gives good feedback on papers and assignments. I would take her again in person if I could.

I took this as a summer course online. The work load is very manageable and you can work ahead. There are weekly assignments and discussions and then a final paper. Professor Farnum always answers e-mails if you questions and truly wants to help her students. A great class to fulfill a requirement. Textbook is a must!

She's very passionate, but the lectures can get boring and they're all on a projector. But it's an easy course and counts as a gen ed.

Took this class online and it was a fair amount of work. Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't too bad but I definitely worked hard for my grade. Homework due every week and a final paper which she definitely graded leniently because I didn't think I wrote it well but got an A. For a gen-ed it was a lot of work but not too hard.

I took this class in Spring 2014 and I thought she was great. Cares about the students a lot and also very helpful. The examsquizzes and labs are easy as long as you listen. Although she doesn't really care about attendance, the labs, assignments, and movies are what really makes you go. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Farnum is always willing to help, she basically gives you the answers for the labs. Offers extra credit which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to fail. You don't need the book. ALL notes which makes it boring. Gives review sheets: 2 quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 short essay on a film. Drops your three lowest grades. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, you can't go wrong

Awesome. Talks very dull but she is a good teacher and if you do the labs you'll get an A. She also drops three lowest grades and if you ask her questions during the labs she practically gives you the answer. Talks dull, but can be nice and at times funny.
