Comment:

She's a very caring professor who tends to give you good feedback to be able to have a better knowledge of what you could better yourself in. I would recommend taking her class, she also gives quizzes about the readings she assigns.

Be prepared to write a lot. If i were re taking this class again I would focus more on the writing. She also takes attendance everyday and requires you to participate in class everyday whether you have the homework done or not you still have to participate. she gives quizes every class.

Julie is amazing! She has quizzes every week that are worth 1% of your grade. If you do the readings, you will be fine. I love how she makes us work with everyone in class through essay peer review and in-class exercises. She genuinely tries to make the class as fun as possible for her students. I would definitely take her class again!

Professor Pesano makes sure that every student in the class understands the material. When you email her she'll reply instantly! Taking her EWRT211 class really helped me improve on my writing skills such as grammar and sentence variety. You won't ever feel like the class is boring because she does a lot of activities through out the quarter.

Best English teacher I have had. Very good feedback always willing to help and she doesn't drown her students in hw. It's not a class you can sit and pass there are essays and a research paper but she gives plenty of time. Also the books we read are very enjoyable.

She made me a better writer. I really enjoyed her class! I recommend taking her if you get the chance. You won't be disappointed. She has quizzes every week to make sure you did the reading. It's very important to read, or else you really won't pass. She does a lot of group work to peer-edit, so it helps make your writing better.

Ms. Pesano is one of my favorite teachers. I appreciate her feedback on my essays, it helped improve my writing skills. 2 in-class essays, 2 out-of class essays. Weekly quizzes on the reading she assigns. It's nothing crazy, it supposed to help you understand what topic is coming up for your next essay. All around amazing teacher!

Julie is awesome! The reading in 48A is not very difficult, and the weekly amount isn't bad at all. The quizzes are very content based and don't require much analysis, you'll gain a deeper insight during the class discussions, which are really great! Class is easily missed, but you won't want to!

Julie had very engaging activities everyday in class. She assigns 4 essays.. midterm is an in class essay, ten quizzes based on reading *5 questions each, questions are sometimes about the little details, so make sure you read everything! And one final. Julie gives feedback on essays and has taught me a lot about grammar. Very nice and approachable

Ms. Pesano is amazing! She's so funny and she's really nice! She tries to make class interesting as possible and cares about her students! I would definitely take her again! Quizzes are really easy if you just read what was assigned for homework, and know your grammar :P

Professor Pesano is one of the best English Professors I've had. Matter of fact, the best out of all of English professors. She is very helpful and wants you to succeed. She's amazing and probably the best writing professor ever. I used to hate group discussions, but she made it really comfortable and inspires you a lot. Sometimes she dismisses the class early to let us work on the assignment. And she is very helpful and understanding. Read the text and do the work, you'll get a good grade. Not a hard grader.

(Core honors class) Best class I've ever had. Julie is understanding, clear, fair, and listens to her students needs. Make sure to do the readings. As long as you do that, the weekly quizzes should be easy. Four essays (w one in-class essay), all of which are very interesting topics that give you a lot of creative freedom. One group presentation.

Professor Pesano is an awesome English Professor. She is very helpful and I always enjoyed her class because of her humor and great skills of teaching.
