very good teacher. comm308 is not an easy class but her coursepack covers everything that u need to kno and she prepares u very well for fina385 and fina 395. Do the problems that she suggests and you will do well in this class.

I had June Riley for comm 308. Her course pack is magicc so u would barely need to read the book. Replies to e-mail very fast and stays after class if u have Q's. The 2 midterms are very doable if u u follow her coursepack and do the suggeted problems . She will prepare u well for Fina classes

June Riley is great. Teaches the subject well and knows what she is talking about. COMM 220 is heavy and requires lots of practice and reading. June Riley has a course pack available in the bookstore which will prepare you well for all testing. Make sure to go over textbook problems to complete your study.

She only reads off her booklet that she did as a summary of the book suggested to buy during her class. I bought the book which was useless and her booklet is very confusing. If you want to pass COMM220, please go to tutorial with Matteo and you will pass. You won't pass with this teacher that does not explain and she is very rude when we ask Qs.

No laptop and cellphones are tolerated in her class (or else she will call you out). Extremely hard on the fact that YOU SHOULD NOT COPY HER COURSEPACK (or else expulsion). Other than that she knows her stuff really well, tests and grading is fair. Her coursepack is unreal, I got by really well by just studying it, no other reading done.

She just reads off her course pack. She has an extremely bossy, unfriendly, condescending attitude and does not treat the students with respect. She comes late to class, rushes through the explanations and finishes the lecture 20-25 ahead of time. Avoid her at all costs. She should stick to teaching CEGEP and not graduate level courses.

Here is the deal, June Riley is one of the best if not the best teacher at Concordia. If you are taking the class for the grades then find another teacher, but if you really want to learn something from the class, then you won't find a better teacher.

I believe that she has a lot of knowledge, but I do not like her way of teaching. She has a good course pack, it is very useful! You should buy it. You do not need to come at class. I found her quizzes a little difficult, but I am happy that she does not give any multiple choices. It is an hard class.

She's by far one of the best teacher. 100% Recommending her, although she is a bit annoying with her copyright obsession and the onlin book sucks. Do your readings and you should do good.

I hated finance before starting the class but she made the content very clear and easy to understand, she gives a lot of practice examples and past exams, she offers the possibility to get feedback on quizzes and midterms. I would definitely take her again !

She makes a good coursepack that will help you pass. However, she is not approachable during a quiz or midterm. She is nice during her lectures but afterwards, she has the attitude of don't bother her. You don't need to attend lectures as you can teach yourself the course from her coursepack and the textbook. Very overrated teacher.

She has a rich background, but unfortunately she is very close to retirement, and thus she probably lost interest in being inspirational. She read the coursepack in front of us for the whole semester. The courses were boring except the three times she actually spoke to us about an interesting real-life economic topic. If you want to learn you have to take the course with Prof. Riley. She knows her stuff. Once you finish the class you will find out that you have actually learned something and you will be able to read and interpret economic data. If you only care about the grade then I think there can be other easier options.

Stopped attending class after the 2nd lecture because all she does is read through her course pack without adding value along the way, not actually teaching. What makes class unpleasant is the way she talks down to students and practically barks at them if they dare ask a question. Not a good teacher or nice person. Take someone else.

If you want to learn she's your pick .. She emphasizes on using formulas rather than a finance calculator .. But believe me when you finish the course you'll be happy .. her percentages of total grade is the best. 25 midterm 15 best out of two quizzes 50 final.. I was happy taking the course with her.. YOU wont regret taking the course with her ..
