The class is very textbook heavy, so prepare to read. Some of the chapters were very lengthy, but if you take good notes youll pass easily. Beware that the quizzes have a lot of true/false questions that will trip you up

Vess provided good feedback on assignments of her own volition, however when addressed with more specific questions, she did not seem to want to provide further help/clarity. At times, when addressed with quest. she seemed quite rude. This class encompasses quite a bit of reading, if you need further clarification, take the class in residence.

Loved this class... Took as a hybrid course.. so all the tests are online except the final (not cumulative). 3 short assignments, one is a book report. Go to class and follow the guidelines for the assignments and you will do well. Gives lots of extra credit opps.

I took the WEB class. Would definitely recommend it over the traditional classroom-based class. However, if you are looking for more discussions as opposed to book-reading, I would go for a different teacher. The class was extremely easy, there was a test every 2 wks with a couple easy essay questions thrown in every once in a while.

This was the worst professor that I have ever taken a class from. I almost fell asleep in every class. She was really rude to me when I asked for help!!! the class work is pointless and just serve as busy work!!! She didn't teach me anything. her notes were dumb and i'm pretty sure she has no idea what she is talking about!

This class was awful. Mrs. Vess wasn't clear on her lectures, and the tests were on things that weren't in the lecture or the book. The numerous extra assignments were pointless as far as learning goes. Alot of busy work, not alot of learning.

If you have any interest in the topic and want to learn about child psychology then do not take this class. She is a sweet lady but she did not demonstrate that she knew much about this topic, her notes were vague and never on the tests, she gives a lot of work without much explanation.

i think this class involves way too much work that needed. so many assignments, book reports, and all that extra stuff which i guess really does help us students at the end. shes boring =( i always fall asleep in her class, but she marks quite easy...but her exams are quite hard as well

She's not all bad, I just felt like she made us teach the class with all those articles; she gave almost no guidance, and then we'd have a test that was not exactly easy. She's a sweet lady, just not a great professor.
