Comment:
I've had Oshimo-sensei for both ACT and FACT class. For ACT, he's great because he's more relaxed and helps struggling students. For FACT, he was admittedly a bit of a dry lecturer, but he always answered questions pretty well. You can get as much or as little as you want out of his FACT lecture.

Comment:
I only had Oshimo sensei for FACT class and his lectures on multiple occasions put me to sleep. Many people skipped his lectures since they weren't very useful and were uninteresting. He's a nice guy though and will help answer any questions you have. He's probably a better ACT teacher than a FACT lecturer.

I had Oshimo-sensei for ACT class and he was the most relaxed teacher. He's gives good feedback and helps out students when they're struggling. He's also adorable :)

I've only ever had him for FACT class so far, and i hardly ever went, but when I would go he would do a solid job explaining things. You ask him a question, he gives you a satisfactory answer. 8/10

While his lectures are very organized and well-taught, I personally didn't find much need to attend them. He puts all of the notes online before lecture, so you can easily see what material is being covered in class. Very good professor though, and helpful if you have questions.

Comment:
I would say his lecture is kind of boring. His tone doesn't vary so not attracting. And because he is Japanese, he is too "polite" when teaching, making the lecture tedious. Only a few words in a whole sentence contains important message. Can't learn a lot from a single lecture.

He is an amazing FACT teacher and gives really good feedback on writing assignments for third year students who are willing to put in the work and do the practice. If you study (memorize CCs, SPs, etc.) and ask questions when you don't understand, it is very easy to do very well. He's really nice and approachable.

While he speaks very quickly (at a natural, native speaker's speed), he also speaks clearly. I think this is very useful for learning to understand spoken Japanese, but other people struggle with this. He is fairly strict, but not as intimidating as Takabatake sensei. Just make sure you've prepared before class (like you should for all the sensei).

Oshimo-sensei is the man. He speaks fast, but somehow he makes it so you understand everything he says. You can tell he loves his job, and is available for any questions. Highly recommend for ACT class!

At first he intimidated me the most, but now he's one of my favorite ACT teachers. :) He doesn't yell when you say something wrong, which is helpful.

Having Oshimo for first year ACT classes was rather intimidating. After understanding his technique, however, Oshimo becomes less of a threat and more of a treat. He speaks clearly, and has a tendancy to give away answers if you start to stall. Classes

Oshimo is funny and very understanding. I had a lot of personal problems when I was taking this class and he was very understanding, makes learning fun. He sounds like a gameshow host when speaking Japanese, and he'll even make sushi for you. Facilitates good learning environment, very entertaining!
