I have taken Justin's Holocaust 287 JUD 229. He an amazing teacher who will make you love any subject Jewish related even with no previous interest in Jewish Studies. He's charismatic and always comes to class with a huge smile its clear he really loves teaching and will make sure you have a positive learning experience come ready to participate

This was by far my favorite class this semester, all thanks to an amazing, engaging professor. No matter what your major, I would strongly recommend finding a way to take one of Justin's classes. He is very constructive and conversational, with wonderful lectures and interesting material. He's quite the character, too.

Took American Jewish Literature with Justin and it was amazing ! We read so many books (I think 11) so if you don't like reading, you might wanna pass this ;) The balance lectures / discussion is really appreciable, and for the papers you can choose on which topic you want to write about so thats also a plus Take this class, you will learn so much

I took JUD 284 as an elective and did not have much experience in Jewish Studies. Professor Cammy is really good at creating a classroom environment that is engaging for all levels of study and providing interesting primary texts. This class is a reading based discussion, so don't take unless you're willing to participate.

JCam is hands down the best professor I've ever had. His classes are wicked interesting, he's hilarious and just ugh, take all of his classes!! You, like the rest of Smith campus, will fall in platonic-love with this crazy Canadian - seriously, take his classes.

If there's one professor I think every Smith student should take a class with before they graduate, it's Justin Cammy. His lectures are AMAZING, and always force you think of the text in totally new ways. He assigns a lot of reading, but it's definitely worth your while. I cannot recommend him enough.

Love him! Friendly, funny, charismatic, and generally appealing guy who makes the subject interesting. Took the class because I'd heard good things about him, not because I was fascinated by Jewish lit and history, and I am very glad I did. Tons of reading, but reasonable assignments and grading, and very clear expectations. Take his class!
