If you don't consider yourself a smart person, you're probably going to complain then drop the course. It's a hard class, but it was fun. You will feel like you missed a prerequisite class while in this one. If you can't learn on your own and teach yourself, you're going to fail, but that's with anything in life. The concept is abstract.

Professor Gaudry knows the material very well. She expects you to spend 10-15 hours a week on her class. I'm a Computer Science major so I enjoyed this class. Her tests are fairly easy if you study and she gives a curve. We had 6 projects, 1 extra credit project, 3 tests, and the final was optional (only take if you want to replace a test grade).

Consider why you're at college. Are you here to learn? If you are, take Gaudry. She KNOWS the stuff, she explains it well and if you put in a little effort, you'll enjoy her class. She doesn't return grades very quickly, but she grades fair. She gives partial credit for test answers and curves generously (85 score median). Man up and take the class

Don't expect to get your grades back... ever. I ended up dropping this course because after she left the class mid-semester, no one could contact her about our grades. (And since Roggio was filling in, it was pretty much useless at that point) If you're new to programming, wait on this course. Get a foundation before you jump into this class.

Pretty much what every other bad response has been. She is very hard to follow, and she does not seem to care about teaching at all. It is two days before the drop deadline, and she has not gotten a single grade back to the class. A simple temp conversion program from over three weeks ago has not been graded.

HORRIBLE TEACHER. SHE SEEMS TO KNOW THE MATERIAL VERY WELL, AND ASSUMES THAT YOU DO ALSO. SHE GETS ANNOYED WHEN YOU ASK QUESTIONS. SHE GIVES VERY LITTLE INSTRUCTION OR USEFUL INFORMATION WHEN ASSIGNING HOMEWORK OR PROJECTS. EXPECT TO LEARN EVERYTHING ON YOUR OWN! YOUTUBE AND TUTORS AND THE BOOK ARE WHAT WILL GET YOU BY IN THIS COURSE, NOT HER.

She's hard. This class is not for beginners. Teacher is an Expert in the field. She's heavy into programming practices, so keep your work clean and neat. If you want to do well on Projects and Tests, Make sure you finish the last project before your test, and at least a week before Due date... This professor is Hard. Avoid if you don't can.

She is extremely lazy when it comes to teaching. Her tests are not multiple choice instead are shorts answers because she can?t take time to make one up and they?re not from the book either. You won?t get your grade sheets for a LONG time so you have no way of knowing how you?re doing in class. Worst teacher I had at UNF so far by far.

Unless you?re familiar with C or VB don?t take her as you will most likely fail. Its one of those teach yourself classes because teacher fails to do so. It takes her FOREVER to grade tests and projects and when you get them back you get an incomplete grade sheet. Just a terrible teacher overall, avoid at all costs!

It's up to you to do programming and read the book in your own time. 5 or so projects are not enough to learn C if you're new to programming. She gets nicer as more people drop. People complain they don't understand the lectures, but they don't spend time outside class. Don't use any advanced C code or add additional functionality to your programs.

This class is incredibly tough. Projects barely have to do with what is taught in class and requires a lot of outside help. Tests are ridiculous and require a TON of studying. Study guide is a long list of concepts, most of which aren't even on the tests. She's a harsh grader that will nit-pick your assignments to death. Best to avoid if possible.

Terrible, terrible professor. Take the other teacher if at all possible. Doesn't explain things clearly at all. If you don't have a solid background in programming you WILL struggle with this class. Will not help outside of class, and is very rude if you do come to her office hours.

If you are a programmer, and you like a challenge where you'll grow-up, you will want to take this class. If you are lazy, if you like to nitpick and cry because you don't always get your way...Then find someone else who doesn't care. Professor Gaudry does a fine job. Life as a programmer is full of hurdles, suffering & chaos. Get over yourselves.
