AVOID THIS TEACHER!He is a horrible teacher. He expects you to know as much as him and if you ask a question he makes you feel like an ass. The class book is written by him which is totally useless. It does not show you how to do problems or anything. He will curve test but it doesn't help. Their is a hard quiz everyday. Exams are ridiculous.

i thought after reading the comments maybe i could still do okay..boy was i wrong! worst teacher ever, his book is horrible, i spend every moment studying chem or going to tutors yet still fail the test which his extra credit work is too hard too! even for the tutors! i lean nothing from him, last yr i had an A this yr FAILING. avoid this teacher!!

Worst class i have ever taken..nursing majors, save yourself the frustration and take 205 instead. Finley's class is ridiculous and he will seize every opportunity to make you feel brainless. I didnt think it would be THAT bad, even after reading other reviews, but it was -_- the only lifesaver was beth =] not even sure if she's still there.

I didnt think he was that grouchy but i am not sensitive to it, BUT i learned NOTHING from him, everything from lab with beth, had to get a different text to self teach and HAVE NEVER been curved in a class before but he does curve, to make up for his lack of ability to effectively teach. go to his office, he is as helpful as he can be

Professor Finley is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Nursing majors, this class is mandatory but do yourself a favor and take chem 205 or take a class equivalent to 260 at a community college over the summer/winter. Professfor Finely is mean and will make you feel stupid, so don't ever ask questions.

CHM 260 is a Medical Chem for Nursing Students. If possible take CHM 205. Pro. Finley, is a very sweet old man, however he tends to loose his temper quickly and gets frustrated easily with students. Be prepared to teach yourself EVERYTHING. Go to the TUTORS. This course is not impossible, just takes work. He grades fairly,and gives partial credit.

hes a nice guy when your talking to him but in lectures and lab hes very quick to make you feel stupid. def dont ask questions in class. his grading system doesnt make sense, i did better than most on the tests and got more problems wrong. go to the tutor as much as possible. worst class ever

I have professor Finley as a lab instructor and he is the worst teacher I have ever encountered. He does not explain things clearly and he often gets confused (he's close to senile). He gets annoyed with questions very easily and has a very short TEMPER! He also has no problem humiliating people for no reason. He needs to retire ASAP.

Without a doubt the easiest class I've taken at Brockport. You pretty much do nothing and get points for going to class. Everytime you say something in class you get points. Everytime you do projects you get points (they are simple and take 5 min). Easiest "A" ever. You only need about 200 points to get an "A." Highly reccomend for GPA booster.

Finley's not the easiest professor to understand, his lectures help minimally. So read the book and do the HW. We had all take-home exams this sem and they're EASY---just work on it and don't rely too much on Finley's lectures. Many ppl had trouble in this class, but do the work & you'll be fine.
