Honestly hated this class with a passion. The teacher is nice enough, it's just unbelievably hard to understand her with her accent. She also makes simple concepts you've probably learned in high school sound completely different and a lot harder, which through me off a bit. I got a B for the class only bc I used the textbook to teach myself.

She would be okay if I could understand half of what she is saying. I'm currently passing her class by one point. If you struggle in math, do not take her. Her tests are much harder than anything we do in class. She doesn't explain how to do the problems, she just does them on the board. I wouldn't recommend her.

Avoid her at all costs. My original teacher left for maternity leave and kumar took her place half way through the semester. She's rude, has a terrible teaching style and doesn't explain things very well at all. I had an A in this class until she got here, nuff said.

Her accent makes it extremely hard to understand, so if you're not good at math, get a tutor. A lot of people failed her class because the ayshe explains things is so obtuse. GET A TUTOR.

She was an ok professor. If you are good in alegbra take her. She will be really easy. She gives you review packets before each exam which is exactly like the exam. Dont buy the text book, I never opened mine.You have to teach yourself everything in the class though. She will just do a problem on the board but she doesnt explain it she just does it

Professor Kumar was a really great instructor. At times, yes, it was hard to understand what she was saying but she means well. I got an A in her class and I am not the best person ever at math. She helps you out if our having trouble anytime. I would DEFINITELY recommend taking her class!! =)

VERY VERY nice lady! She sits at her desk the whole class and flips papers over the projector. She does NOT explain things and expects you to understand it so you get a little lost. Make sure to keep up with the homework and try to understand material because it is tough. She does give you a chance to get extra credit.

Class is extremely easy, but I feel like I wasted my time and money. Attendance is optional, and with a TI-89 there's virtually no work needed. Professor doesn't post on blackboard, and doesn't hand back exams in a timely fashion. Only benefit is that if you receive an 96 average before test 4 your don't have to show up anymore. Horrible instructor

As far as accents go, I've certainly heard worse. You'll get used to her accent, it's more that she's monotone is the problem. Not a bad teacher but she often forgets almost none of her students in statistics are math majors so she doesn't take the time to explain anything in real depth. Honestly, there's both better and worse professors.

Prof Kumar has an incredibly thick accent which is hard to understand. Attendance is not expected because most students already learned the material in high school. I just showed up enough to know when the tests were.

I am good at math, and this professor made me love math!!! highly recommended! dont think that showing up to class will give u an A, you need to practice problems on ur own time and u should be fine. she gives pretest and those are helpful to know whats expected on the test!!! took her for algebra and stats!!! love her!!
