Very nice prof, always looked out for students and made the class fun. Midterm and final were fairly difficult. Going to the lectures are extremely important to passing, if you do not go to class I can bet you both my arms and one of my legs you will fail the course

Arnell was a good prof, looked out for her students and gave extra credit when the midterm turned out to be too difficult. Great at lecturing, and majority of the test questions came straight from lecture material (aside from 1 or 2) Highly recommend, just make sure to go to class!

Love Dr. Arnell! She's so adorable and funny, with her quirky jokes and constant laughing. She has a certain spunk she adds to the course. The exams were graded pretty tough, but overall if you study your stuff and understand the concepts you should do well.

I loved the structure of the applied Cognition class. Around 10 articles were assigned each week on an interesting topic in cognition with about 2-3 students per article which created a dialogue in the class that really showed the depth of the topic and different approaches in the field. I feel this class has prepared me for graduate school.

Tough class, great prof! Lectures are full of energy & she is clearly interested and knowledgable in her subject. Exams are very tough so it's important to know all material. Textbook was hardly used for the course but there would always be 1 exam question on it (annoying). She is motivated to help but be sure to study your coursework!

Very easy to listen to and follow. She talks a bit fast, but once you get used to it, its nothing to worry about. She provides lecture notes online which I love. She is very helpful, friendly and approachable. The labs were very hard and her exams often have very tricky questions that are worded in order to confuse you!

She is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. It is so refreshing to have a professor who is extremely interested in the course and wants you to do well. Very approachable. The demonstrations and videos are appreciated and gives us a chance to experience course material first hand!
