Karen is a life-changing professor, an inspirational mentor and a invaluable friend for me. I never write review but having taken a year of her class and had her as an advisor, I really miss her now. She always encourage me to push my own boundaries and support me. She is truly committed to teaching and cares for her students' personal development.

Karen is the best! She is not only passionate about what she teaches, but clearly cares about her students. She's been such a great person to study under, and has provided me with more than academic support. She's also such a chill person to hang out with! A tough professor, but definitely worth it!

KAREN IS AWESOME! Her class is thought provoking and engaging. Her assignments are difficult at times but they are never busy work are completely relevant. She is very helpful and willing to go above and beyond to work with you. She puts a ton of effort into the class and expects the same from her students. I don't have enough good things to say!

Class was always interesting. Labs could be difficult at times, but made sense at the end. This class is a lot of work, but if you put it time, you will get a good grade. Karen is my favorite professor so far at Colgate. She is extremely interesting and interested in her students.

Karen is the best professor I've had at Colgate. She is super nice and has the best demos for class. I did not consider myself a science person whatsoever, but now I am a geology major and love it. Take MEGA (awesome class anyway) and whatever you do TAKE A CLASS WITH KAREN HARPP. BEST PROFESSOR EVER.

Professor Harpp is a hard grader and assigns a challenging amount of work, but her class was my favorite of the semester. She makes the subject matter interesting, assigns creative assignments, and is always there to talk about the class or about anything else. She has a lot of passion for her work and cares a lot of her students. TAKE HER CLASS!!!

AMAZING. MUST TAKE. Deff one of the best profs at Colgate. Extremely extremely hard, very specific on exams, always working, BUT she makes you want to do the work She goes above and beyond the call of duty for EVERYTHING she does, and is more then willing to talk to you whenever. Freakishly fast replies back to emailed questions.

When people write that she is the best prof ever they are not kidding. She literally changed my perception of what teachers can do. There is never a dull moment, reading is interesting, demonstrations (explosions), etc. She will go out of her way to help you in any way she can. No lie when I say her courses are life-changing!
