To the person that gave Karen Marbot negative feedback abt the brain tumor. I had one myself the Lord took it away and now my father is going through it she showed concern with me. Karen Marbot is a great professor the only way you don't pass is because you didn't apply yourself. College is not high school and you must do the work and participate.

Currently taking online. Most unapproachable teacher Ive ever experienced. She even has a fun little section in the syllabus, in red uppercase font, that basically reinforces her disdain for students and, apparently life in general. I'm not sure why this woman is a teacher. Due dates are so strict, death isn't even an acceptable excuse.

I am currently taking 2 online classes with her. They are VERY easy. Her assignments are straight forward and easy to complete. She also gives more than enough time to complete. She also posts test questions at least a week before the actual test so you have time. Taking more with her next semester. She is extremely strict with due dates NO EXCUSES

I Don't Recommend Taking Ms Marbot If you want to know your actual Final Grade. When responding to emails she will give you very short answers. I still don't know how well I did on my Final Project all she said was A on project. I wanted to know what I actually got. Other than this her class is rather easy but she is pretty much not there.

Loved the class. Very organized. Clear instructions. Answered my email right away. Class is three parts and each has a test, homework, and discussion. Tests were all short answer and fair Answers were there in the notes and reading. I would take another class from this professor because I liked the set up so much

I was very interested in this class before taking it. This teacher ruined it for me. Will never take a class with this teacher again. Does not care if you pass. Deadlines are strictly followed, does not matter if you have a death, illness, flood, family matter, etc. It specifically states "do NOT email me." Very strict grader. Don't recommend.

Online course. I was kind of phoning it in but so was she: a non-presence, no interaction, no sense of who she is. She's just the voice who tells you what to read and when it's due. Her one overt personality trait is a pointless absolutism about deadlines, which seems like a lame substitute for authority. Are all online courses this empty?

We never rec'd any of our grades on our 10 page final paper. We simply rec'd our final grade in the class. It was never uploaded to the Blackboard Online learning site, with the rest of our grades. It was 25% of our grade and no one knows what they got on it. When you email her for feedback or at very least your grade, she doesn't respond.

This was an easy online class. Professor is well organized and the schedule and expectations were clear. Discussion boards were fun and engaging. My learning style is hands-on and reading long chapters is difficult for me. Fortunately I was able to get great grades by reviewing the online lecture notes and look up test information to get an "A".

Taken several courses from Prof. Marbot-easy to follow,simple and to the point. In response to others, there is a requirement that final papers are handed to her. You can mail it. I have emailed with her and received a prompt response that was not rude.

Took class last semester. Great structure. Super organized. Discussion boards keep you engaged. Assignments are practical and short answer tests are interesting and cover material. Tests not too difficult but felt like I knew material after taking test. Strict with deadlines but length of time to work on assignments was fair. Due dates reasonable.

get proof of any assignments you submit. failed 3 students incl me. said we nvr turned in our finals. we all waited at her office to submit them she nvr showed. we left them with some1 in the office. i also emailed it to her to be sure. she failed me saying she nvr received it. i had a 96 in her class b4 this. fought the grade school did nothing.

Worse professor ever. Due dates are all over the place and no leeway is ever given not even for a death in the family. Be sure you are on time with all asignments or you will receive a 0. Hw is not due til end of semester which allows the student no reports of progress and no input is ever given. In emails - very rude! Should not be teaching.

Clear syllabus. Easy class. This professor is probably 1 of the most rude and unhelpful profs I've ever had. I can't begin to imagine what she is like in person. She is overly strict with due dates and doesn't even offer partial credit for handing assignments even a little bit late.
