I took her last semester and it seemed as though her grading scale was wacky. If she liked you she graded you easier. Me and my lab partner had some of the same answers but our grades were different. She seems like she likes the subject but can get angry very easy when things go go perfectly smooth in class.

Very, very good teacher. Class was very hard, but as long as you came to class, did the study guides, and asked for help when needed, you'll do fine. Lots of quizzes, but for your own good. She knows her stuff, and now that I'm in a program, can definetely see the benefit of taking her over someone else. RVC will be at a loss when she retires.

She was a great teacher, helped you find the answers if you needed more attention on them but didn't HAND it to you. Her tests were hard but as long as you came to class everyday, payed attention, and did the Study Guides you would be fine. Gave out alot of quizes but really for your own good... LOVED her but not the subject itself

This is a very hard class. But it is important to remember that she is preparing her students for the real world. If she handed out A's like Liss than im sure her ratings would be much higher. If you cannot handle this course, find a different career.

I took this class over the summer. I thought it was going to be much harder than it was. I managed to get a A, but only because I have taken many Bio courses before. She is not all that clear, but she is really nice. Tells lots of stories. You really have to study hard in her class

Took her Human Heredity internet class. I don't know how she is in person, but on ednet she is very organized, friendly, and helpful. Her assignments and tests were not difficult at all and made genetics interesting and able to relate to. Great class!

mrs. messley is very nice outside of class but she is very tough in class. Only one person gets an A on her tests, if that. Most people got low C's or D's on her tests and we all studied our butts off. When you ask her questions she gives very poor answers like she doesnt want you to know the answer. Power points are very short and not much info.

Mrs Messley is very helpfull, very understanding and very friendly. This is a very hard class do not expect to slide by. She expects you to know EVERYTHING! I found her class very intresting and very informative.

Attend each lecture, take all the notes, make sure you know the study guides backwards + forwards, make the most of all the lab points offered. Mrs. Messley is very helpful and kind, although sometimes confusing during lecture. After you get used to the lecture style it is easier to keep up.

I took her distance learning/internet version of biology 103. Enjoyed this class very much. Do not take this class unless you are prepared to learn! There is a lot of work involved. There is an assignment due pretty much every day of the week. If you get behind with your work you are going to have trouble catching up. She is very helpful with ?'s.

She is very hard to understand.. she is also one of those teachers who feels her self esteem drop when people don't come to her class.. so she makes notice when ur not there and never lets you forget it.. hey, if I can get a good grade in ur class without being there for your stupid lectures, let me do it!!!
