the examples she gives in class coincide with her test material she gives study guides and answers and she drops your lowest test grade and all your homework counts as one test score instead of a seperate grade i liked the way she constructed the class she is particular about certain things but take good notes and do the homework youll be fine

Not a very good teacher when it comes to math. I'm usually good at math, and I came out hating and getting frustrated with math after I took her class. Not very good at explaining concepts so that one will gain a basic understanding of what they're learning. Not recommended, especially for Calculus.

Although she knows her material well, she is not a very good teacher when it comes to explaining concepts. She expects you to know everything you learned before, which is kind of ridiculous, especially if you're not a math major. I can see how she would make a lot of students hate math. In the end, I would not recommend taking her.

Be careful with this one! I will say that she is a pleasant person and is always willing to help, but you might have to ask for help more that you'd prefer as she doesn't always explain things very easily the first time around! I got a B in her class, but I am pretty good at math in the first place! A lot of other kids struggled!

She knows her stuff, but how she conveys what she is teaching to the students often is dry and you have to be a math nerd to understand her humor. gives alot of homework and grades them minutely. she is anal about showing work, folding paper, and graphs must be precise!!!

I had to work my ass off to earn B in her class. Her hw and lectures are okay, in the sense that there are lot of hw and lectures are complicated and confusing. But the worst part is her tests!!! U have one hour to finish and an hour is never enough. Most math prof at chaffy sucks. They share teaching methods. Goodluck

Best Math teacher I've ever had! Although she gives alot of hmwk, it ends up helping you out. Practice exams given and she does a review day. Take advantage of her office hours. Loved Pender!

willing to help the students who wanted to help themselves. if you don't follow her rules you fail. simple as that. offered SI for students who needed extra help. if you come with the rigth attitude you will do perfectly fine in her class. do all of your homework and participate in class and you will pass.

DO NOT TAKE HER! She doesn't explain the problems clearly. She's as clear as mud. On test days you don't get to go home when you finish, you have to stay for the lecture on the next chapter. She slurps her coffee very loud which is one thing that bugged me!She grades homework harshly and overall not helpful.

This teacher does not care if you pass or not, she drops for not turning in home-work, she has no business teaching ellementary algibra, her teaching is too complicated to understand, she is rude, her favorite comment is "Says the SPIDER to the FLY" she the spider, we the fly. Expects students to learn very quickly and tries to cover way too much. Takes the enjoyment out of learning by grading daily homework like a test. High pressure environment that left me feeling hopeless when I wanted to learn this subject.Nice person but needs to be more patient. Not good for average students. Math wiz would be fine with her.

I hate her. Lowering my GPA. Look, there is her way of solving problems and if you dont do it her way, your paper's gonna have lots of minus marks on it. Her tests are based on two chapters and its limited to one hour. I am pretty good math student with only A's and few B's but her class is... I dropped. Take my advice. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!
