Dr. Rauch is a wonderful professor. She makes going to class fun and easy. She does occasionally give pop quizzes, but if you go to class and try, the class will be a breeze. She treats every student fairly and is very sweet.

This is a class on ecology and it's not particularly hard. She gives you "quizzes", blank pieces of paper on which to summarize the text. I put all of the wrong answers down once and still got a 10/10. She grades based on meaning, not on grammar or correctness. It's a 90 minute class but it doesn't feel like it. This is my 3rd class with her.

This professor is ridiculous! She has favorites in the class and will give a grade based on whether she likes you or not. There many others good spanish professor in KU. Unfortunately Prof Rauch is not one of them. She puts her personal feelings ahead of academics. Plus i heard she's not head of the spanish department??! Ughh such a pity.

If u are an already fluent student u will be wasting ur time. She calss us "herited" speakers and gave my 2 other friends and myself Cs because we were being disruptive. Disruptive was talking in spanish during the class to each other. We didn't deserve those Cs because we didn't get anything lower then a B on anything. She favors men in her class

little tricky. do assigned pages in the text b/c she'll call on you in class for answers. 3 easy comps, 1 interview (w/ partner, memorize NINE dialogues & you'll each get graded on 1 from the 9, randomly). test are semi-easy if you study. text is more helpful than her lectures. does activities to keep the time moving. doesn't give much extra credit

I felt if i had asked questions in class, she was upset that i had interrupted her and that i was holding up the rest of the students who understood what was goin on. Also, when asked questions on certain sections in the workbook and classwork she would just simply give you the answers instead of explaining what to do or what was to be done.

I love Dr. Rauch. She's so funny and makes the class really laid back. Her quizzes are less than 10 questions so they're alittle tricky. The listening sections are the hardest parts of the test bc they're all fill in/writing sentence. She's always avaiable if you need help, very personable.

I think she's fantastic. She's my only prof who has taken the time to learn our names and to get to know us. She reminds me the most of my high school teachers, but language teachers are all cool. She makes spanish so much fun!
