Comment:

I know many students did not like this professor - she was tough, but you will learn if you work hard. Easy professors are an easy grade - memorize and spew out the answers. Suski wants you to learn and remember. She is tough. I told her to her face wfrequent visits telling her about my frustrations wher classes. I never forgot what I learned

Dr.Suksi is an awful teacher. She gave assignments with vague or no instruction at all. When students ask for more direction to complete the assignment, she would be snappy and unresponsive. Students are intimidated by her nasty attitude. She seems to take pleasure in failing as many students as possible no matter their quality of work.

This woman is awful, she's literally only knowledgeable about survey research. If you are doing anything else, be prepared for her to not understand your research, and consequently give you a bad grade. She does not listen, does not give useful feedback, gives useless assignments, and will not give you an estimate of what your grade will be. Avoid.

What can I say, this is the worst professor at NMU. She is degrading to students and has a giant ego. She refuses to help students with course work and is a completely useless for any sort of clarification. If you have the opportunity to avoid this evil woman, do it. It'll be the best decision of your college career. I repeat, do not take her.

This is by far the worst professor I have had in my 7 years of education at NMU. She offers no help, when asked, gives little to no direction, and has an ego the size of the campus she resides on. This is the finest example of tenure hurting a college campus. She will never give you feedback and you'll never know your grade in the class, good luck

She gives NMU a bad name. I am a 4.0 student and she barely passed me. It is her job to teach and be clear on what she wants. She will give you whatever grade she feels like even if you do the required work. A decent professor shouldn't have a good side and definitely shouldn't single out students. I feel bad for her.

Don't come to NMU for the ECD program. It's simply not worth your money & time, and the overall quality is poor. Suksi is the lead prof in this dept. She is not a teacher, mentor or leader, but more of an obstacle to overcome. Going from over a hundred to under 10 graduates in the B.S.of ECD program is not a good sign. Ask the director about it.

She is a tough teacher, try to get on her good side, although that does not always work. The assignments are fun but very hard. Shes a very tough grader, doesn't give a lot of clear directions, hard to understand what shes talking about. If you make it through the EC program, you did good haha

very unclear about what she wants in assignments and offers zero constructive criticism to improve. clear and extreme favoritism of certain students. Text is poorly selected and hardly used. Ironic how many grammatical errors a language learning professor makes in class.

She is rude and judgmental. Always late with returning assignments and there is always some excuse as to why they are not done. Assignments are unclear and super hard. She does not respond to emails. Lucky to pass her classes.

She's horrible. She's one of the worst teachers possible. She's not clear at all and makes you second guess yourself at every point in taking her classes. She's not understanding about anything, unfair, and definitely has her favorites. Her books don't help you, just with quizzes. She shouldn't be working in this field!

She is very well informed. She keeps the class interesting. Projects she assigns are fun but nerve racking at the same time because she is not very clear on what she is looking for. Very hard grader in my opinion. I think that participating in class discussions help your grade.

Over time she becomes easier. Although she is not always clear on her expectations and can sometimes criticize students, she is still a good professor that you will learn a lot from. She tends to choose favorites, and likes the seniors in the program the most. Her projects were tough but once you learn what she is expecting you will do fine.

While Dr.Suski is hard, she also really cares about her students. Treat her with respect and she'll show you the same, I've learned more from her than anyother prof in the EC program. Go and meet with her, be open and honest, and let her know what's going on in your life. Just keep an open mind and realize she's human!

She won't answer emails and then derides you for not asking questions prior to submitting assignments. I should have known when over 80% of the class dropped it in the first 2 weeks that there was a problem. RUN from her classe
