Karen has been through a lot but one can learn from her experience! She's passionate, caring and will go out of her way by 100 miles to help you if you ask for it. She's insane in a nutty-professor kind of way so you have to be confident and assertive in her class, shy students may get lost. She taught me lessons for LIFE. I'm forever grateful.

Karen will go out of her way to help you if you don't want until the last minute. This semester she was disorginized and frusterating, but you can tell she was once an amazing prof and Ithink she is getting her groove back. She cares about making the class a great experience and will work wih you individually to help you get what YOU want out ofit

Karen is an amazing professor! She is so enthusiastic about her work and she is determined to make you learn. If you ask for help she will spend hours, literally, helping you. She knows an amazing amount about female philosophers and philosophy in general. A+!

This is the worst professor I have ever encountered. She had no clue what she was talking about and couldn't respond to any logical arguements that didn't go along with what she already believes. She sent me lots of nasty emails when I had problems with assignments that were all due to her incompetence.

She is chronically ill so things never happen when they are supposed to but she is very forgiving about students turning things in (very) late since she does it too, and always alters things to accomodate any problems a student is having. You just have to be flexable and patient with her, she is quite brilliant and occasionally hilarious.

She is chronically ill and this, along with other commitments, caused her to not provide as much effort into the class as I put in. She was disappointing. I still got an A though, but it was more frustrating than it should have been.

truly passionate, extremely knowledgable, good class management skills, I absolutely adore her and love her classes. I've heard complaints that she chooses favorites though, which I haven't personally witnessed, but those who have insist it's true and are not at all pleased.
