I really enjoyed Dr Weierman, but my classmates may not agree. She has standards and will push you to reach those standards. Her class consists of a couple papers, but those papers undergo tons of revisions. It can get overwhelming but if you stay on track then you will end up with a decent grade.

While awkward at times, Dr W means well with her teaching. Had her for survey I, and she showed great passion for her work. Blog posts for every class on every reading, and harsh grading on papers will make me avoid her future courses unless required. You can tough it out, just be ready to read and analyze excessively more than your other courses.

Her classes are based heavily off of discussion. Doing the reading is very important but she's so passionate about the subject that it inspires her students. I am an English major so I share her passions, but her attitude makes me want to do well. You don't have quizzes but you have blog posts twice a week. Overall I would definitely suggest!

Has very high expectations for students, and grades accordingly. If you're not used to writing papers in a week, then you're going to have a hard time in this class. Papers are not that hard if you know how to interpret instructions. Is oddly enthusiastic about what we talk about in class, and interacts awkwardly with students, but is a nice person

I cant believe anyone would say she's horrible. I had her for Survey of Am. Lit 2 and she is such a sweet lady! She loves listening to your opinions and respects them completely. She is also very knowledgable about her subject and is truly passionate about what she studies and teaches. Very helpful and will answer any questions you have:)

Prof. Weierman is such a sweet lady. She is extremely helpful, definitely make appointments with her. Her class is difficult, she expects a lot, but she is not unreasonable. My writing skills definitely improved in this class. I really enjoyed the class even though it challenged me. No tests, 4 papers and a portfolio, be ready to push yourself.

She's very tough on her students. She gives out guidelines, yet always finds something wrong with the papers, although if you do badly enough she lets you rewrite them. Makes you leave if you don't have the homework done. Other than that, she thinks highly of herself and her published book, and expects a lot from her students.

Had her for an Am. Lit online class, if you want an easy EN requirement take this! It isnt the funnest class, but the work load is not that bad at all. Just discussion posts and a few papers. Nice woman, but she is a really tough grader, but gives a rewrite option on papers. If you try and put in effort, youll succeed!

She assigns unreasonable amounts of work. She also has specific expectations that she expects you to meet, but will not explain what they are until after the assignment is complete and graded.

While she's a tough grader, it's not hard to do well with a little bit of effort. She has never been anything but helpful to me. However, there are a few strange policies in regard to attending class: no excused absences and she'll make you leave if you haven't done the homework. Overall, it wasn't a bad class; just be prepared to do some work.

Really nice person and willing to help you if you really mean it. Grades papers hard, but fair. The amount of work is not bad, the only assignments are productive for your paper. Overall she is tough, but you will become a better writer as a result.

EN: 250 Absolutly horrible class, grades student's papers on a basis on if she likes your style of writing, not on what the content of your paper was on. Impossible to get an A in this class, got all my papers checked by multiple tutors all saying it was perfect and then getting a C on EVERY paper. You'll regret taking her!

Incredibly difficult professor. She makes it seem as if getting good grades in her class is easy with her writing process and so on, and then will give awful grades on papers. Nothing is ever good enough for her. Will take off entire letter grades on papers for trivial errors. Do not take her!

Enthusiastic professor. This class required a LOT of reading. Basically talk over the reading all class and she wont make you speak if you dont want to. 2 short papers and 1 final paper. I would recommend taking her for this class if you like novels and plan on actually doing the reading

What an amazing professor. She truly loves to teach and is always overly excited about the material. She tries not to torture students too much with boring readings and really makes you think about the deeper meaning behind writings. She is one of the nicest, most helpful professors I have met here at WSC and would recomment her to anyone!!

She improves your writing skills, but it's extremely hard to get an A. She gives a re-write option on most papers, but only if you get a C+ or below.
