CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY really she is. avoid at all costs. Not easy either since she teaches most of the required 320's she is rude, eccentric and openly insults her students Dont be late. if you are more than 2 mins she wont let you speak up that day even though participation is part of your grade. Mean, annoying and you can only miss 2 classes in a 925

This woman is crazy. In the best way possible that is. She is eccentric but her eccentricity makes her entertaining and an enjoyable professor. Her tests and papers are not easy A's but they are certainly doable. Her class is fun and there is a video almost every week. Notes and book aren't necessarily required. Lecture is sufficient for an A.

She is a good teacher for sure. Can be a little out there at times though. She is very critical when it comes to grading writing, almost biased in a way where she will shut down your views even though it will be an opinionated paper (thought anthropologists were supposed to be open to everyone's views, but guess not)

Awesome! in contrast to below, her energy kept class interesting. she was passionate about anthro. she specifically chose interesting texts. i had her for multiple classes, she inspired me to major in anth! papers are on a subject of ur choosing and tests are lots of writing, but you go over tests the day before and they're straight from the book.

She is constantly interrupting her students and has no problem openly criticizing them. Her class is easy and she is an easy grader, but it is an overall waste of time. Her "energy" is annoying--just teach us. Stop jumping around the room.

Professor Weissman is ecentric to say the least. She is quite self-absorbed and very critical of her students. She constantly is examining what you are saying and makes you feel inadequate. I do not recommend taking her; this isn't ignorance....I am a student with a 3.64 GPA.

Completely ruined my interest in anthropology. Very boring, too opinionated, and definitely knows how to fake smile. Take someone else if you're able to. The midterm and final were all essays, which are easy if you know what you're talking about. Two papers that are easy as pie. This class was pointless and a waste of time and money.

She loved our class, so that helped I'm sure. Her passion for the subject made me love the entire course. Sort of has favorites, but mostly just don't be stupid, speak up in class, give your opinion often and your set. 2 research papers, midterm & Large Final- both essay which makes it easy to study for if you put forth the effort.

Assigns a lot of reading, but with the structure of her exams, you don't need to preoccupy yourself to completing reading on time (or at all). Highly theoretical. She's an amazing and loopy professor who is obviously passionate about the subject. I would definitely take any course from her.

Amazing. I've wanted to take another one of her classes since my freshman year when I took her intro course. Heavy reading, but very interesting. Very engaging and energetic. Her passion for anthropology makes the class even more interesting.

This class was really great! If you go and ask her to look over your paper, you are guaranteed an A on it! The tests can be hard- all essay- because she expects a lot of information. Watch a lot of movies too, e****ally on Fridays.

Extremely easy and loves to play movies. She likes to stress coming to class or you will dropped, but I've missed plenty and I'm still there. Papers are easy but she goes off on tangents and blames classmates if they start a discussion that we are getting off topic when she's the one who runs off at the mouth. if you want an easy A she's the one

Love this lady, she is very energetic and she obviously loves what she teaches! She encourages class discussion and she throws alot of controversial topics at students. She also shows alot of videos which is a nice break from the usual lecture!!
