Maag was a decent professor. She is pretty straight forward, but you DEFINITELY need to study! Taking this class online was a LOT of work! Her tests are crazy because they are essay situation/problems...but for history...so you need to know overall themes really well. It was a lot of work, but she has a good heart and does a decent job.

TAKE THIS PROF!!! you will not regret it... she is sooo incredibly helpful especially if you go and talk to her. great at teaching. she tells you exactly what she expects from you, and she definitely keeps things interesting. hate history, loved this class!!!

Having heard the horror stories about history here at Calvin, I was dreading taking history. Professor Maag was by far my favorite professor. She gives great note with occasional activities. Her tests are pretty easy. She is extremely helpful and a joy to talk to. She is passionate about history and loves her work. All around a GREAT prof.

Great Prof! It could be a hard class, but as long as you take good notes and keep up on homework its pretty easy. Her lectures are very organized and she is EXTREMELY helpful if you need help. Loved her class!

I was dreading taking a history class, but with Prof. Maag I ended up loving it! She somehow made history interesting. Lots of note taking, but she also integrates fun activities into class time. Tests are straight forward off of a study guide. Loved this Prof! One of my favorite so far!

I was not excited for this class, but was pleasantly surprised to find the Prof Maag very engaging and actually very funny. Makes sure that even though it's a history class everyone doesn't just sit and listen every day, there were many (slightly lame, but entertaining) activities. Projected outline helped immensely. Tests were reasonable.

THE BEST PROF. EVER...she is so cool...really really helpful...good notes and gives you a review handout before each test and questions are directly from that. She is really really interesting and the class is never boring. I highly recomend her.
