Dr. Kattchee can seem kind of odd but he is a really intelligent guy who loves math and makes you want to care too. He doesn't take attendance but gives out group work which is 10 free points every few weeks and if you aren't there you won't get the points. His tests are based almost completely on group work, previous quizzes, and in class examples

Dr. Kattchee is very clear with what he expects out of his students. His exams and quizzes are VERY straight forward. He in no way is trying to trick you. He even pulls questions directly from group work problems done in class or webwork problems for exams/quizzes. He is very willing to answer questions. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kattchee!

I highly highly recommend Kattchee! Honestly the best professor I have had at UWL. He is very clear during lecture and makes the content easy to understand. I really like during class how he works through tough problems with us and then assigns slightly easier ones to work on. I definitely recommend him for any class!

Karl Kattchee seems like he understand pre-calculus very well, but he only likes to teach you the basics of the sections. everything else you have to learn by yourself. Be prepared for homework and tests to be harder than what he taught you in class.

I really enjoyed having him as a professor. He has a strange sense of humor which I really enjoyed. I thought the class was pretty easy, although I had already taken precalc in high school. Sometimes over explains stuff in my opinion, which is not necessarily a bad thing. If you do your work and try you will for sure pass.

He's by far my favorite math professor I have ever had! All you have to do is show up and take notes, and you'll do fine. Study for quizzes and exams. He'll give out some WebWork that is completely doable, and you will have a few group works. You will get a 100% on the groupworks if you are there for them and actually try to finish them. Recommend!

Dr. Kattchee has a strangely hilarious sense of humor and really cares about everyones success. Graded groupwork is random, so show up to class. The entire webwork throughout the semester is worth as much as a test, so do it and it will really help your grade. The final was a combination of quizzes, groupwork, and past test questions. Straight fwd

Everyday book assignments, webwork, 3 quizzes, and 2 tests not including final. Goes fast pace. Had not taken pre-calc before and had to teach myself EVERYTHING outside of class. Takes a while to email back to your questions. Look at groupwork and previous quizzes/tests when it comes to studying. Overall wasn't horrible, but would not recommend.

You need to attend the lectures, but in the lectures he only teaches the basics. You have to figure it all out. Webwork, quizzes, and tests will have things you haven't seen unless you do all the ungraded bookwork. Quite rude too. Avoid if you can.

A real genuine and sweet guy, enthusiastic about math and it shows. Seems to care about his students and will curve a quiz if the whole class does poorly. Tests are very straightforward, almost all problems were previously worked out in class. Never opened my textbook the entire semester. As long as you pay attention in class, you'll do great.

Dr. Kattchee is a standard instructor. He teaches straight from the book, and lectures with his own notes. You need to attend class, you need to take good notes, and you need to do the homework which won't be graded. Terminology is very important to him, so you need to memorize it all, and be ready for group assignments too. He is a nit-pick grader

I was not looking forward to taking calculus but Dr. Kattchee made it worth while. It was much more clear than I expected as his lectures were clear cut and he was helpful. There is a lot of webwork and group work but it gives you really nice buffer points if you're not so good at tests or quizzes. Would recommend for calc.

Kattchee is a legend. I failed calculus hard last semester with HEATHER HULETT (Note: DON'T EVER TAKE HER!), but Kattchee saved me this semester. He teaches at a nice steady pace, and is an overall awesome guy. He is a fair grader and if you make a mistake he will follow the mistake through and give you credit if the rest is right. I Recommend!

Wouldn't recommend missing class, everything on the tests is taken right out of the lectures. Very casual guy, homework due once a week online. I enjoyed his teaching style a lot. Textbook homework is optional but will never be taken for credit. 3 quizzes, two midterms, and one final if I remember correctly.

Dr. Kattchee is a pretty good professor. His tests are based off the Lecture examples, quizzes and group works that you do in class. The web work problems can be very tough sometimes, but he never includes these on the tests/quizzes. Grading criteria includes: Webwork - 20% Exams - 25% Quizzes - 15% Final - 25% Groupwork - 5-10% Recommend!
