terrible marking scheme, halfway through the course she wiped everyone's group mark for fall semester and started over. Incredibly boring classes, preachy professor and reads directly from the textbook while calling her students 'unoriginal thinkers'. clearly picks favourites, unfair tests, and she doesn't prepare any lectures or exercises.

Worst prof at Dal, she treats you like a kindergardener, she talks down to her students, she is rude, makes the outline so that your grade is up to her interpretation (not much awarded for tests or studying all on what she wants to give you) she is unclear about homework assignments and how things are to be marked.

Most ridiculous marking scheme I have ever come across.... got docked 5 points every single assignment for not stating the number of words. She just kept writing "format" when she easily could have written out what she wanted. class is boring-shes strict on grammar but the tests were fair enough. will avoid mme waterson in the future.

I wanted to like her...I really did. But she picks favorites...and since I was not one fo those treated me like I had no hope fo doing well. The fact that she did not so much as look up at me during a presentation, and had given me a 4/10 within the first few minutes (could see her mark from the front of the class) was the final straw.

Makes you feel like you are four years old. Has favourites and you're sure to know whether or not you are one of them! Hard marker, no personality, classes are boring... do not recommend her as a prof. I think the class itself is interesting, but the way she teaches makes me 1) want to fall asleep and 2) wish I hadn't enrolled. Thumbs down!

Karolyn and "Kathrine" Waterson are the same professor. A few people got her name confused but i think people should take the time to see what they wrote about "kathrine". I agree with the comments on both names. This class will put you an a bad mood each and every day.

Caution!!! Temper tantrums may flare in this class. This prof has a rediculous marking system and conducts the class like a preschool teacher. I challange you to sit through a class without rolling your eyes. How did she get a job at Dalhousie........ that is a very good question my friend.
