shes a great teacher!! she is so funny and down to earth it made her class not boring. she uses her text books daily but they are like poem books and what not so they arent heavy to bring to class. her class is really fun! best english teacher ive ever had!

Nice Teacher , interesting lectures and essay topics are all interesting, although you may think they topics are easy because they are about you, you still need to work really hard on the development of your essays. she gives you a chance to work with your peers but i felt it didnt help. shes a somewhat hard grader & may not always be a fair one

Loved her. Good god, TAKE HER CLASS. She is so inspirational and hip. She totally understands us. And yes, I will NEVER forget her. Two girls who took her ENG1A class before, loved her so much, they took this class the following semester. Think of: hip college class environment like on TV. Not stressful or depressing

Prof Evans is awesome! As long as you read the books and watch the films you can get an A. Even if you miss a class, she offers endless extra credit opportunities! We wrote 2 papers, one choice was a creative screenplay which was fun!

Kate is an amazing professor. This is my 2nd time taking her. She helped us create great stories in this class and she whipped up some creative ideas to get us into the writing mood. I really enjoyed how she taught this class, she gave us all an equal opportunity to share our work. She is by far one of my favorite professors!

Kate is an AMAZING professor! She is a positive critic of your work and never ever says anything negative about it. She loves and encourages all creativity. She's one of those professors that you will never forget in your college career. It's an easy A class. I highly recommend her. I'm taking her again for ENGL 130 Creative Fiction. She's AWESOME!

Kate is perhaps one of the best teachers at SJSU. She is VERY KIND and cares deeply about her students and their work. She makes everyone feel like their work is important and finds beauty in everything. She has definitely helped me tap into my creative side and I recommend her to anyone. VERY LOVELY LADY.

Kate Evans spends the majority of this "creative" writing course talking about herself and her personal life- which is not what we are paying for! She is completely unhelpful and does not teach you anything substantial. You won't use anything you learn in her class ever again. She is also unorganized and lacks credibility. Warning, do not take her!

Huh???I was in the same class and I thought it was great. She gave great feedback on all our writing. Good books, like the book of stories and the writer came to visit class to talk to us. We got to meet the writer and he signed our books.
