Definitely not my favorite. We didn't do much writing and for a class called Advanced College Writing, I was disappointed. We read three books and wrote three major papers (none over 10 pages or even close if I recall correctly). She didn't really teach writing so much as the content of the books.

One of the most scatterbrained people I have ever seen. She is nice as a person, but I would definitely avoid taking one of her classes. Don't take her for writing, because she is more preoccupied with King Arthur than teaching you about composition. You will NOT learn how to write at all.

Definitely not an easy professor to have for a gen ed. If you are interested in the reading material, you will enjoy the class and she knows the subject matter well. However, she was late every single day for class, took forever to return assignments, and was completely unorganized. Demanded a very high workload, but didn't return the effort.

Ugh. McMahon will show up 5-10 minutes late for every class, and then keep you 5-10 minutes over. She will assign a ton of papers. Everyday is an argument with her because she can't explain things very well. Suck up to this lady, you will need all the help you can get! This will be a class you debate about skipping everyday! Tests are very hard!

She always arrives to class late and frequently expects us to stay after. Although she is a nice and helpful person she takes forever to get our portfolios back, which by the way, she doesn't even look at half of it's contents. The comments that she writes on papers are stupid. Although it is a fairly easily class, avoid her if you can.

Late to class and then expected to be able to keep us late. Took a VERY long time to grade tests, papers, etc. But was pretty helpful anytime I had to go to her office hours with questions. Assuming that she was acutally in her office during office hours. Mostly nice, but not very reliable!
