Horrible professor. Came late to class everyday but we were expected to be there on time everyday. Sends emails late at night and expects you to read them when you have a 8am class. Only reason I got an A was from the Global perspectives paper/presentation which was easy. Never received assignments back. Constant excuses for not be responsible.

Benson is awful. We're supposed to read the book but I haven't touched it and I'm getting an A because this is the same thing as intro. She expects studenta to read emails she sends out at midnight the day she needs them read by. She comes late every time and is an awful prof

What a joke. It's too bad that she happens to teach subjects other profs don't so many majors cannot avoid her. Her classes are easy but will make you want to shoot yourself. She's not only incomprehensible but also nuts. Made weird excuses about swine flu to randomly change due dates??! not cool.

Katherine Benson is a wasting of a teaching position. Not only did I not learn anything new in her class (it was mostly a repeat of into to psych) but it was also UNBEARABLE sitting through her class. I used that time to do the reading which is all that mattered for the test anyways.

This was the worst professor I have ever had in college hands down. She takes more sick days off for herself than the students do. She has open book tests and can't teach or keep any sort of order to her classes. She is also IMPOSSIBLE to reach outside of class.

she treats us like kids as if we have no idea what is going on and certainly not like college students at all. i can't say that i've ever really learned ANYTHING from her specifically. anything at all that i have taken out of that class i have certainly taught myself or had to figure out on my own.

She is not as bad as all these reviewers would have it, sure she rambles, and teachs a lot of stuff that is not in the textbook, but in the process she 1) gives you insight into her experiences with real research, and 2) teaches more than if she just repeated stuff from the book. I don't think she really treats students like children either.

Why is this professor still around? He condescends to students, wastes time fiddling with technology she doesn't understand, uses the class for personal story-time and really doesn't give lectures that are helpful at all. We bought electronic pads for nothing--that was special. One of the worst.
