Exams are full concepts, and lectures aren't always organized. She's not the best at explaining things. With that said, this class isn't impossible to pass. You basically just have to teach yourself or get help from your TA.

The worst professor I have taken at UCI. She does not curve her exams even when the whole class fails them. She Is all over the place and does not clarify concepts when asked to do so. First failing grade I ever received was from her. Stay away while you still can.

Terrible professor. Her lectures are disorganized and all over the place, slides consist of more examples rather than concepts, and her exams are mostly on concepts & full of tricks. When you ask her questions to clarify or explain something that you do not understand, she just repeats exactly what she said that confused people in the first place.

This class was nothing but pure frustration and so much confusion. She teaches one thing, then the next day she says something completely different. you cannot go up to her an talk to her about it because she is so prideful and will not admit she is wrong. Beware! Her tests are so difficult! She purposely tries to trick you and its so depressing.

Did not like her teaching style. She overcomplicates things and is all over the place when lecturing. Labs are irrelevant and could be used to review problems and concepts that are learned in lecture. Her tests are hard and very tricky. Don't spend so much time solving the problems when studying, worry about the definitional concepts.

I also wanted to add from the previous comment is in regards to her TA Bonnie... STAY AWAY!!!! Not helpful at all, rumbles on and on, and you can hardly hear her. Worst TA I have EVER had during my undergraduate career. She assumes everyone knows everything and just goes on.

Pop quizzes is pretty much attendance & she only did 3 (currently at week 8). Hardly attended lecture cause its so dry but I noticed the pop quizzes are every 2 weeks after exam! Homework is graded & given each week besides week of exams (2 midterms, 1 final) which exams are multiple choice. 1 page of notes (front and back) can be used during exams

Class lectures are long and all over the place. Labs are irrelevant to the material taught in lecture. She isn't helpful at all and doesn't know how to explain things, also makes you feel dumb when you ask questions. Tests are usually 23 questions long and only 50 min to complete... 46 seconds per question. Wouldn't take her again ever

By far the WORST professor I've ever had at UCI. When I email her to ask how to do a certain problem, she is not helpful AT ALL. She basically just rephrases the question for me. Once, I emailed her asking a simple yesno question & she replied "I answered this in lecture" ... couldn't she have just told me yes or no .. so unhelpful! DONT TAKE!

Fair grader. You can pass if you try. She gives enough assignments that you can basically get a C or so on the final and still pass the class with a B. Homeworks are essential

She has great examples, but sometimes spends too much time on an example. She has a great format for grading You have a lot of opportunities to get a high grade. The test consists of a lot of inferential and not much math problems, study vocab for her class. Easy A if you want it!

Her teaching methods are not as clear and concise as professor Huffman's but she's a good professor nonetheless. There's no point in reading the textbook. Her hw is really easy - it took me about 15 mins at most for each. Midterms and finals aren't too bad - just be sure to do the study guide and pay attention in lecture and lab!

Knowledgeable, organized, and fair. She tells you what exactly you should study for the exams. The four written assignments are crucial, 60% of your grade. Bomb any of the assignments and its tough to get a good grade. She is also very nice. Final is cumulative but focus on last half.

There are four "assignments" throughout the quarter that are worth about 60% of your grade. The information is straight forward - you can either go to lecture or read the books. Test questions are very fair. She reviews the most commonly missed ones. She's sweet and doesn't judge - I'd take her again if I could.

Organized, clear, fair. Homework and labs count for 30% of the grade, so that's a bonus. Tests are multiple choice, but tricky; be aware and be careful with your answers. Print out the PP slides and take them to class; makes it easy to follow along with lectures. Final is cumulative. Homework and lecture material is what you'll see on the exams.

She is a nice and fair professor. Her lectures are clear and expectations straight forward. She is a fair grader as well. Her lectures aren't the most interesting but she does a great job of engaging the class in active participation. I would definitely take her again.

She's good- she's really really nice- and explains the concepts well. She gives a ton of examples to make sure you understand. Her test can be a bit tricky- but if you understand the material you'll see past the tricks and get an easy A. If you don't go to class and lab, then well, you won't do so well. she also gives extra credit for attendance

Good teacher, especially because I am so bad at math and so worried about a fast and unclear teacher. She didn't go too fast at all, explained every problem, was there for office hours. Attendance not mandatory but there were extra credit pop quizzes every once in a while.
