kathy is very nice teacher but sometimes she yells at students. Art 100 is intro class she expect you to learn everything. Her last lecture she had more stuff to cover but there was less time so she give it up. Her quiz is really hard . There is no study guide and questions come from nowhere.....

Definitely easy to get an A in her portion of the class! Just show up and pay attention, do all the assignments (they aren't a lot) and elucidate your answers, then you'll have an A. The art final is extremely simple as well. As long as you pay attention in class it's a breeze. I hardly studied a bit the night before and got a perfect score!

Katie is an amazing woman. Her lectures are always so interesting, and she gives everyone resources to succeed in her class. Attendence is crucial - its graded! She takes roll and will call on names throughout class.

Now it's my turn to grade the professor. Professor Frank was one of the three professors to teach this course. i completed and turned in the assignment and the professor gave me a ZERO. And the notes taken in class are NOT helpful towards the test. If you like to waste your time and receive a low grade take this class. But she gets a red pepper.

Katie is a really great instructor when it comes to ceramics. You can really tell that she is in love with the subject. But, this makes it easy for her to see through those that take the class because they need the credit. Great at seeing things in your art that you may not see. Participate in the critiques. Get her advice when you need it.

This teacher is inconsistent and very unhelpful she claims if you try you will pass well that is a lie I turned my assignment in on time and complete and received a ZERO because I was not able to discuss it with her afterwards. So if you like to waste your time and effort I highly recommend this class.

This class was very interesting until Professor Frank become the 2nd instructor of a 3 instructor art class. This teacher is not clear when assigning work and also has poor communication with students. For example she gave me a zero on an assignment that was completed on time and turned in .I do not recommend this teacher.

Katie is not helpful at all. Usual professors are accommodating to students who wish to take their education to another level by studying the PowerPoints. Katie does not send out PowerPoints which is unfortunate because she goes very quick in class and there are numerous amounts of artists that must be looked at. She's such an inconsiderate person

Refused to loan/email powerpoint as I am deafblind. I wasn't able to multitask btwn viewing images/close vision ASL interpreters. Affordable text or at very least PP is critical to make connections btwn interpreters' signs, art terms, & images. many meanings for 1 sign. Notes, not enough to get by. She was unaccommodating twds my disability needs

Honestly, it's not a very hard class as in you don't have to think hard or anything. The only thing you have to do is ATTEND, and show that you're working hard in her class. Although not really hard, it does require a LOT of your own time. As an art major, I recommend her, but be prepared!

This class demands A LOT OF TIME. Although this class is 3 units, it feels more like a 5 unit class. This class took a lot of my time. Sometimes I wish I never chose to take this class ... I put a lot of time and effort into my art works to provide quality work. I got an A in the class, but the amount of work did not outweigh the enjoyment of art.
