I LOVE this professor so much. I've taken so many classes with her, I've lost track. She really knows her stuff, and she pushes her students to do their best. In higher levels, she even pushes you to go a little further. I presented at a conference with her as an undergrad. She's honestly just so great. Her class is always the highlight of my week.

Professor Kittredge is an amazing teacher!! No tests; just relevant and interesting discussions about the materials we were reading/viewing in class. Even if I didn't always like the books she picked out, I was always able to get something out of the class discussions. Super caring! Genuinely loves teaching!! Will help anyone get an A!

I had her for my seminar and she was an amazing teacher. She is so sweet and the discussions in class are really interesting. I really loved the class I took with her and highly recommend her courses. She gives really great feedback on papers but grades pretty tough.

Comment:

I took this freshman required class in spring semester with about 5 other peopl. Katharine introduced us to IC and tactics for college success with respect and helpfulness. We watched movies, read books, had panels and discussions and all of it led to me feeling encouraged and empowered to be successful at my new school. She's also a great mentor.

I loved this class! It was a relaxed environment and Prof. Kittredge worked hard to ensure that we all adjusted well to college. She's very passionate and knowledgeable about what she teaches. Sometimes things were a bit disorganized and I didn't always feel the need to do reading, but overall, I highly enjoyed this class and would take it again.

( Wonder Women Seminar) Professor Kittredge is supportive to her students, if you ever need help, she is there for you. Her deadlines are always contingent on your well being, and she trusts you to know your limits and abilities-- if you say you need more time, she believes that you need it, not that you procrastinated. And she is brilliant!

Katharine is my favorite professor at IC. I had her for ENGL 3500 and we read amazing books, and made up our own grading contracts, which allowed us to give ourselves deadlines and assignments as long as everything was turned in by finals week. Unlimited number of revisions on papers. Incredible comments for revision. Fantastic!

I had her for a Women's Autobiography class. As long as you make time to do the readings, which are interesting anyway, it is not very challenging. She is an open-minded, fun teacher and allows for a lot of student input as to how the class is held. There was always lots of lively discussion, and she tried to ensure that class was never boring.
