An usual character. She knows her stuff extremely well, and if you can overcome your predisposition towards her you can learn to truly enjoy the course material. Just do the homework (yeah, I should have done this), participate, and you'll be set for an A (linguistics).

Lahti is absolutely crazy, but you can get a good grade in the class. Just really put your effort in the homework and it will definitely boost your grade. Russian is a tough language in general, the textbook is essential.

She is pretty funny. She has a good sense of humor. She isn't the easiest grader, but definitely not hard. It is hard to do bad in her class. I liked her for my class.

Comment:

Lahti is a crazy lady and she will scare you. But the class is really easy. The only time you stress is before exams. You have to memorize ALOT before the exams. People told me this class was a free A but I didn't think so and I'm a 3.7 gpa student so take my advice for what it's worth.

Linguistics must have changed over the past few years because it is far from easy. She's lenient with homework and classroom attendance, but the lectures are confusing and boring. When it comes time for a test you'll have no idea what you spent the last few weeks doing. This should fulfill a language requirement.

Probably the single easiest class at Trinity, if not in the entire world of higher education. IMPOSSIBLE to get below a B, unless you really work at it. Granted, she is a little strange, but im convinced she has a heart of gold. If you want an easy A, this is the class for you. Oh, and the material is pretty interesting too.

Lahti looks like she should have a dozen cats. That's quite telling of her personality because she's definitely eccentric. She didn't really care about teaching the course, and she more or less idiot-proofed it, so that it's impossible to do poorly. Take it if you need to pad your GPA.
