She gives great feedback and helps you improve your papers. You will have to type a lot of papers, but that's probably expected in a history class.

Dr. Sadler knows what she wants and will give you only the grade you work for. Very tough grader and gives lengthy feedback even on assignments I got 100% on. I got an A but barely and by spending hours on hours of studying & reading. Super good email responder & makes assignments and expectations clear which helped the online class go smoothly.

Dr. Sadler is amazing! She's really passionate about History and excited to go into details. Showing up to every class will make this a breeze; the in class discussions are a source for good grades on assignments, midterm, & final. Don't be afraid to speak up in class, the more you engage (even if you are unsure of answer) the better off you'll be!

Dr. Sadler expects a lot from you throughout the course. She hands out an insane amount of homework and is a tough grader. However, she wants best for her students. Her feedback helped me tremendously. Besides her strict rules, I learned a lot from her class and would take her again. With time-consuming work, I got an A in her class. Just work hard

Dr. Sadler is a wonderful teacher for those who either love to learn or are good at faking it. She is extremely knowledgeable, but can have an abrasive personality towards some. Don't let her tough demeanor fool you, she just has an odd sense of humor. The work for the class isn't hard if you read the book and do the work.

Dr. Sadler truly knows her way around history. Expect to write 1-2 papers weekly, with about 300-500 word count requirements. She has very clear expectations from the get-go, and your grade will reflect your participation and desire to learn in this class. Book is regularly referenced and required. I cant express how great this course was!

Dr. Sadler was my favorite professor I have ever had. Her class is very tough and she does make you work for the grade, however she is so caring and gives such amazing feedback it is worth it. I was blown away by her knowledge and her grading criteria was so clear that if you put in the work you'll pass!

I took this as a hybrid at clark. Our two hour sessions in person were used for discussion of the text. You don't have to attend but it's a huge part of your grade because she grades on participation. The class is really easy, just read a couple pages of each reading and you should be able to participate once or twice and receive full credit.

This class was very interesting although the lectures can be a bit boring. She can also be strict and make you work for a good grade. But if you need help with the course you can talk to her and she will help, she's very understanding. ANYWAY, just be in class and ask for help when needed and you will pass the class!

Condescending attitude, nitpicks every assignment (even if A work), a LOT of reading, having to write journals roleplaying as era specific women you make up each week (between 900-1200 words minimum, depending on the amount of reading, plus an in-character reply to someone else), insists on being called Dr instead of professor, etc. Dont take.

I loved this class. The textbook is rather long and the chapter's are super long, but the websites provide good info. She is funny in a weird way. Cares about Genocide a lot. Makes you aware of other things in life. Tough on grading discussions. Would take class again!!

She always had something megative ti say about your essay, or paragraph or anything. No matter how hard you would try, there would be some remark. Do not miss reading because you will not pass if you do. Do not skip assignements. She is a very smart person and you can tell she is a perfectionist which doesn't mix well with students.

Dr. Sadler has unrealistic expectations. Be prepared to make this class your life. Although I received good grades on my work and she gives feedback on every assignment, no matter what she would always have something bad to say and criticize everything to the smallest details. She has a condescending attitude as if no one is as intelligent as her.

I love History classes and have never had a problem with any other professors at Clark, so I was surprised to find Dr. Sadler as horrible. Besides the heavy workload (I didn't mind it too much), she is the worst grader I have experienced. When she gave feedback, I tried hard to correct my mistakes in the future but she found new ways to grade down.

900-1200 word essays every week, a lot of role-play writing. I love history but the ridiculous amount of work for this ONLINE class makes me hate everything about it. She grades exceptionally tough, especially on spelling on grammar (which ironically she isn't that great at). Also takes off a ridiculous amount of point for late work.

Katherine has a PhD in History and likes to be called Dr. Sadler. She knows a lot and expects you to do a lot of work. There's frequent writing assignments, group forums, and quizzes. She makes assignments due almost every night of the week, which doesn't allow you to work at your own schedule. You can get a good grade but its very time consuming.

She is the worst teacher I ever meet. She grades extremely hard. She also takes off a large amount of points for late work. She change the original questions, also her method is very confusing. Her class actually made me start to dislike history.

Eh, I like her as a person, but overall her teaching method is pretty bad. TONS of group work. I think the only thing we have done in that class is write thesis statements. I'm not kidding. You absolutely HAVE to keep up with the reading and I mean you need to really get the material because she wont be teaching or lecturing in class.

Dr. Sadler has a university-level, no-nonsense approach to the material she teaches. It's a lot to take in, and the reading is assigned for a reason. However, if you ask for help and show a genuine interest in learning, she opens up to you. She's a wonderful woman with great wit and passion and deserves utmost respect.
